900 Global Inception DCT video and written review
« on: July 11, 2017, 12:29:06 PM »

When I got this ball and looked at the numbers and the coverstock I was expecting a strong ball, but honestly, that is an understatement. This ball is definitely STRONG.

I tried this ball on our typical house shot (Kegel Main Street, 41’) and the Inception DCT made me move about 8 boards of where my comfort zone is. I had to play inside second and third arrow to keep the ball in the pocket. The DCT has a strong read in the midlane but the most impressive thing about this ball is that somehow it still retain energy to provide a strong backend motion.

I had to play deeper than usual and keep the ball in the oil to get the desired shape and motion. Misses outside or shots thrown too slow resulted in the ball hooking early and going high. When I missed inside my target, the ball had enough hold to not overreact and still make it to the pocket. I feel this ball gives me a big margin of error, the ball is so strong that it had no trouble of coming back from almost anywhere.

The DCT is more versatile than I thought. I was able to play a tighter line to the pocket by keeping my speed up and when I jumped inside I was able to throw the ball without any speed changes and the Inception DCT was strong enough to allow me to play deeper angles and have plenty of recovery down the lane.

You can tell how strong this ball is by watching the reaction on the video. If a low rev bowler like me is forced to move to the third arrow, is because this ball hooks a lot… Really impressive.

On most house shot patterns, the Inception DCT will be a great choice for speed dominant bowlers and low rev bowlers. The combination of the Adaptor/D Ceramic asymmetric core and the S86R makes this ball a monster capable producing a massive amount of hook.

For the tournament bowlers, this ball is a must in your bag. It will be a great choice when you are bowling on long patterns or heavy oil. The Inception DCT is by far the strongest ball in the 900 Global line.

If you are looking for a strong, asymmetrical ball that will overpower any heavy oil pattern, then the Inception DCT is the ball for you.

Thank you for watching!

Wow, great video. I wish they could find a way around the switch grip issue.

Thank you man! Yeah, unfortunately due the ceramic nugget in the center you cannot use an interchangeable thumb, so a regular slug it is. But don't let that stop you from trying this ball, it is impressive.

I am still surprised that I was able to jump inside being a low rev bowler... That part is usually reserved for the crankers or bowlers with a higher rev rate and I was able to see great recovery down the lane.

Stay tuned because I'll be reviewing the Honey Badger and the Covert OPS as well! ;)

Have you ever thrown a Break weightblock before? You're going to love it.

No, I haven't! This is my first time using 900 Global. Aside from the DCT, I already tried the Honey Badger and man... That ball is ANGULAR! Had to speed up and play deeper to keep it in the pocket. But once I told my friends I was gonna review 900 Global products, everybody told me about the OPS series and the Break core. They said is 900 Global Hyroad, Game Breaker, Venom Shock, etc... I am honestly excited to try it.

Honey Badger is going to be the sleeper ball of the year. Just you wait.

I'm so finicky with my thumb, I'd hate to think I can't use my IT. I wanna know why Barnes could use his!! He probably had a whole lineup drilled with a shallower thumb hole so he could use the IT without hitting the ceramicore.

Impending Doom, I saw the whole thing with Barnes.  So my question is why can he use ITs and we are recommended not to use them.  I would love to hear the answer,

My guess is that he had some IT's made that were shorter than usual ITs just so he could use them on the new stuff.

That's what I think they did. I guess if you know what you are doing and are carefully enough not to drill 2.75 inches deep, you can get away with installing an interchangeable thumb. I tried to play safe and I used a regular slug even if I use IT on my other stuff, didn't feel any difference since my PSO did a great job with the slug.
