Antsy in my pantsy
« on: April 17, 2014, 01:54:18 PM »
Got some of my new rocks punched (Grip-It, Sure Thing, and Dirty Look), waiting for some more of my new rocks to be punched (King Cobra and Desert Hook), and some of my old stuff redrilled (Bank Roll, War Eagle, and Hook Hybrid) and then dropping off even more of my stuff (Clutch Pearl, Black Eagle, and Hook Solid) to be plugged.

Pics of the new stuff.

No grips, no bevel (or very little), you've got a future kid.

Black slugs too, nothing more dorky than ridiculous colored slugs and grips. Looks like ass going down the lane.

I had a white one, and hated it. If I could throw all solid color equipment, I would. Don't know how that grip-it is going to look lol. Hope that and my Desert Hook will help me on Sydney in June.

Grip-it looks like a winner. Actually all three based on those layouts look like they're going to roll really well.

Well, with the shape of that weight block, short pin to pap work well for me. On a fresh ths I tend to get too much bounce off the dry. I realized that every ball I had with the pin close to my pap (Predator, TNT, Money) rolled really well for me, but I didn't have one in my bag. Same way with the Sure Thing. I really wanted to emphasize the nature of the ball, so why not Rico?

I totally forgot to give a big thanks and shout out to my buddy Paul Colombani at Competitive Edge Pro Shop in Woodridge, IL for taking the time to do my stuff. If you're looking for a great pro shop to do business at in Chicagoland, head to Brunswick Zone Woodridge.

Like the RICO on the Sure Thing. Interesting layout on the Grip It. What's the angles on that one? For short pins I like doing pin in the ring finger. Tell us how they roll for you.

looks like the Grip It is a 2 inch pin to pap to even out the reaction so it does not overreact when it sees friction.  But I'm certainly no expert.

Yes sir, Grip-it is 2*65 with a hole a little down from my pap. Looking for something that just lays the core down when it gets to the friction. For me it controls the overreaction off the dry on a house shot. Don't have to worry if you caught a handful.
