Boost for dry
« on: January 04, 2017, 03:57:46 PM »
If anybody at 900 Global reads this. Please make a Boost for dry.Its the only thing in the line up that is needed.I have a couple of boost and they are no means weak.Entry level balls nowdays are way to strong to be for toast.I want to throw all 900 global but I have to use other brands weak stuff.Using a black rhino at the moment.LETS MAKE A DESERT BOOST!Same core but much weaker cover than s43 or modify the diff to be around .020.

I'd go S30 on a desert Boost. S43 is too strong for burn.

Don't rub in it.Lol lets keep this going maybe someone at Global will see this. How many people would like to have a weak piece in the Global line up.Don't say we do as in BooYah.I have one hooks early on dry and pukes at the backend.Great for an actual short pattern with volume.Desert Ops with the s70 cover still to strong i'm sure for toast.

I don't throw Global, but to me that core is too strong for whatever cover you put on it. I used to have a couple of Columbia pieces with that core, and they were pretty doggone strong. Very high revving as I remember.

You are correct. But weaker cover and modify the diff in half if possible. The Boost I have will compete with any brands medium balls.

I can't foresee when that will happen, but have you considered a Break Down, X, Chemical X or even a Boo Yah? These balls have worked amazing on shorter, lower volume patterns for me. Just an idea.

Seems like some people really don't understand what the dry south is like.Yes I have a BooYah its a turd on dry.Hooks early and has no backend.I use it for spares.Short stuff with volume playing 5 is ok we dont have the 35ft stuff around here.I am not a 20mph+ bowler I am 55 years old and don't see anymore than about 16 tops on a good day.I just would like to see entry level balls that don't hook as much as high end stuff. And I really dont want to pay top dollar for something geared toward it.Meaning Brunswick BTU 124.99 not happening. Also the Breakdown with s70 dont see that happening on toast either. But thanks for your input.

Ok I was going to try a Brunswick BTU for dry.I really would like to throw all Global.I found the Breakdown on closeout at Bowlerx.com.89.95
I have the Black Ops when I can use it I love it.I will say my favorite asymmetric ever for me.Asymmetric and my low tilt an medium speed don't do good unless on longer heavier patterns.
So we will see what this breakdown is all about.Going to drill it tomorrow and practice some Sunday.I will report back.I still would like to see a Desert Boost!  ;D Also Bowlerx has a bunch of global on clearance.

The BTU is not for dry any more than the Boost is for dry.
If you have 20 mph ball speed, and 50 rpms, then maybe.

Nope only 15 to 16 mph with rr 400 makes for alot of fun on dry.Plus low tilt and ar of 45 to 50.Thats why I am campaigning for a Desert Boost. All low end stuff is to strong for dry except maybe a breeze.
