Break Down
« on: January 15, 2015, 02:39:31 PM »
I just rolled mine for the 1st time today and all I can say is WOW!!!  this ball is very under rated as far as im concerned. I saw 6+" of flare on mine and the ball didnt stop rolling all the way threw the pin deck on a fresh shot high road pattern.  This is a must have ball in anyones bag at all times. this Break Down will get used a ton for me...  a nother great ball once again coming out of the Break series line   great job R and D for desinging a nother great piece.. thanks 900 Global   2 thumbs up for me on this Break Down    drilled mine pin over ring 3/4"  35 X 5.5 X 25

well again,  the Break down came through for me Sat night.  256, 278( 4-9 split in 5th frame ) and 279 ( solid 9 pin in 9th frame ) for another clean 30 this season( 10th one), saying what an awesome ball is a under statment. Once these balls become available I would say its a must ball to have in anyones bag and IM sure it will work for every style of bowler out there. I saw 6"+ of flair so this ball does move on the backend where you want it most..  Thanks again everyone at 900 Global and a special thanks to TJ for all het little things u do that makes customers like myself so happy over all these years ;)

Is it on the 900Global USBC approved list?  Please provide link.  If not on the approved list then I assume you are bowling in non-sanctioned USBC competition?  Or were these scores approved by the PBA in PBA competition where the ball is approved 01/05/2015?  I've always wondered why balls get used before approved by staffers when it's not past the date of approval?  If that be true then manufacturers need to fix this IMO.  Good issue to discuss.

The ball has been approved for quite some time now.  There is just a delay in the posting of it to to bowl.com.

As far as I know, 900 Global has had every ball they have ever made for the U.S.  ( USBC or any PBA sanctioned tournament) and all there overseas releases have all been approved by the USBC and im sure that even goes for all there private label balls made as well...  2nd question is yes it was bowled in a sanctioned league and was not bowled in a PBA league or tourn.  TJ just answered your 3rd question ( thanks TJ LOL)  1 thing I do know for sure, This is 1 great ball ( USBC approved ) and you should get you one of these balls the 1st chance you get. you wont be disappointed in the least im sure. Ive not been and Ive had the chance to throw almost everyone of them they have made..   ;)  This ball makes my top 10 list of all time from 900 Global..     #1 The Network  #2  The Break Pearl  #3  Dream ON  #4  The Bank of 900 Pearl  #5 The Break Down  #6 Pure Hook  #7 The Dream   #8  Break solid  #9 The Hack  #10 The Bounty

This ball is really good. After throwing it on fresh and broke down lanes, this past week in Vegas, it is a super versatile ball. Even with a strong layout, it allowed me to really square up to the lane and play straighter through the front part of lane.

I just rolled mine for the 1st time today and all I can say is WOW!!!  this ball is very under rated as far as im concerned. I saw 6+" of flare on mine and the ball didnt stop rolling all the way threw the pin deck on a fresh shot high road pattern....... drilled mine pin over ring 3/4"  35 X 5.5 X 25

Regarding the original post, I know it hasn't even been released, I can't see how this ball is already underrated? With the exception of the staffers, the general public hasn't had a chance to throw this ball yet.

Also, how is the ball drilled that it gives you 6"+ of flare? I know the undrilled stats indicate a diff of .030 and flare potential is 3". I can say with my stronger layout, I saw around 2-3" of flare. A few times I saw a bit more than 3", but overall, nothing more than 3". I don't think I have a super amount of hand and even a few guys that I know having a lot of hand, they too had no more than 2-3" of flare. For a low flare ball, that is exactly what I saw and got.

I'm not trying to stir up the pot here, but I feel like the comments of 6"+ of flare might be inaccurate. Just my 2 cents.

I too had the opportunity to drill one of these and it is the definition of smooth. I can certainly see why TJ stated it will be beneficial to have for nationals doubles/singles. As iamone78 said, I too saw 2-3 inches of flare on my 50 X 5 X 30 breakdown. This will be a great ball for smoothing out wet/dry or squaring up and playing up the track.

When I stated I thought this ball was under rated I simply meant I don't concider this ball to be a mid level ball, I think this ball reacts like a high end ball and then some for me ;). just my 2 cents worth.. for me, id put it up against any high end ball right out the gate on a fresh THS and  be able to throw it all night with out making huge moves as the lanes break down if you only had to throw 1 ball all night long. Now for it having  6+" of flare   that would be correct as well.  It really flares that much for me, not sure why people are only seeing 2-3"  with theres.  I dont have that answer...  but I love the reaction on this ball and the carry is awesome..

I started with my Dream tonight and went 213 the 1st game not throwing a bad shot once, with only a 7-10 split in the 2nd frame for my only open for the night.. I went to my ( go to ball )  Break Down the 2nd game and went 300 ( my 65th of my young career )  the 3rd game i keep trying to keep up with the transition and could not carry the last game with a 206 clean.  over all IM still happy with having my 1st 300 for 2015.  either you throw 900 Global in the great state of Texas or go home wishing u had.  i turned a few storm guys heads tonight  for it only being the 2nd week ive bowled here    the guy in the pro shop said he thinks hes going to start carring 900 Global again  ^5 on that
