Break Pearl, niceeeeee....
« on: March 21, 2008, 02:48:19 PM »
I threw my Break Pearl for the first time this evening.  Mine is layed out with a 4" pin to PAP with the MB at a 55 degree angle (As suggest by Tonx, thanks man!).  On a fresh house shot I had a look I certainly didn't have in my bag.  I was able to keep the angle off my hand down but still have a ball with easy length, a real nice midlane read and great continuation through the deck.

I'm looking forward to putting a few more games on this to see what it can do.  So far, I'm quite happy.

Mine's waiting by my doorstep, holes & everything.  A little work on the thumbhole and she's, all but, turnkey.

How many games on it before you liked it?

I do not have mine yet (it's on order).
I am guessing the ball was doing what it was supposed to right off the bat. After 21 games, you probably started developing a track in the ball, and now it is hooking more. I noticed this with quite a few of my weaker balls (even plastic!).

Mine doesn't hook a lot yet but I don't have many games on it yet. I thought of scuffing it up a bit just to break the OOB finish.

That is so weird, I actually had to take all of my hand out of the equation in order to use the line I was on to get my 300. I was throwing over the 12 out to the 5 and the ball just walked to the pocket. Very smooth and powerful.

Kong don't be afraid to scuff it up a bit.  I did that with mine to get my desired reaction.  It was skidding a little through the break point because of my higher speed.  Now it sets up nicely for me.
