I just saw on the approved ball list that the 900G Compass was approved on Dec 20, 2016. Anyone have any info?

Might be overseas, like the Gear line. I've heard nothing about it.

I don't know anything about it either but I just saw this listed in the PBA member offers section so I doubt it's an overseas release.

I was really surprised that I didn't see Barnesy or any other 900G staffers throwing this during the week. I was speaking with one of the pro shop owners at league last night and I got some info. This is completely unverified so take it with the proverbial grain of salt. S70 hybrid cover, black/red, and a completely new core called Longitude (I guess goes along with the Compass name). He also said "he heard" they were having a hard time getting the core specs approved with USBC and that's why none of the staffers had any yet.  Don't have any core numbers but wonder if it was RG or Diff, or both?!

It might have been RG. It's pretty low as is.

Word from a staffer is that this ball is a special release for shops who are big with 900 global. Which sucks because I'd definitely buy one.

The ball's core shape looks familiar, kinda reminds me of the core that was found in the old Columbia Blue Wicked, or the Rock On.

900 Global had an overseas release several years ago called the Day Break and this core was the same one in that ball. Unfortunately the ball is no longer on their site, I can't verify the numbers are the same. I saw a few on eBay, but never pulled the trigger. I'm glad this ball is coming! Hopefully it is well received and in the future produced on a larger scale.

I know everyone knows by now, but just for some who don't know, the Compass will be a special release to 900 Global GPS Pro Shops. I was able to drill one, and so far the reaction is pretty good. I would put it right below my Truth Solid and above my Infrared. So far the reaction is different than the Infrared and say the 'X.' Those balls are primarily smoother, rolly type reactions. The Compass has more motion down lane with the hybrid cover over the solids for me. Fairly close to the Ninja SE. The Ninja is earlier for me.

The  Day Break #s were  S-70 cover  RG 2.502  Diff 0.048  if i remember correctly
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)
