Crux vs Dream On
« on: December 18, 2014, 09:31:10 PM »
In everybody's honest opinion, how do these 2 balls compare to each other. I'm looking for a new heavy oil ball, and these 2 are the ones I've narrowed it down to. Just wanted to know how these 2 compared reaction wise.

I can not confirm for sure because I have not personally thrown the Crux, just going based on the dozen or so I've seen thrown.  In my opinion I think the Crux would be a little early and stronger in the midlane, providing more overall hook while the Dream On, from personal experience, starts a heavy roll in the midlane and has a little more downlane response.

As of bowlingball.com's perfect scale they are pretty much right on top off each other. Honestly the Dream On looks a hell of a lot better in the vids. Very impressive ball. P.s  cant wait for the Respect to come out. Looks like a great 1-2 punch.

I would agree that the Dream On has more down lane reaction than a Crux but a Crux seems to be earlier.  Balls are close but yet different.  I think the Dream On give you a little more versatility than a Crux due to more response down lane.  Good luck in your search.

The Crux seems to have an early roll, but it saves energy for the midlane to down lane action.

I have not thrown the crux but I have bowled against an aposing team that had 2 guys throwing them on  pair.  My Dream On out hooked both of there Crux and i had a much better 3 game set of theres as well.   they was lucky to shot 620's where my Dream on was a little touchy the 1st game with 2 splits going 215 with 2 opens. 2nd game i hit the pocked and didnt carry well for yet another 215  3rd game I made a slight ajustment moving even more left ( standing 40 now ) and threw out to the 13 board at the arrows and went 299 the last game   this ball is all that and then some,  after we was done bowling 1 of the guys throwing the crux was disapointed thinking he bought the wrong ball.. I told him I think he did as well, of course I did that with a big grin on my face...  great ball 900  2 thumbs up here  because there not needed for any of my equipment  ;)
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)

How do you stand 40 and hit 13 at the arrows?
