Dream On/Dream vs. Bank/Bank Pearl
« on: March 04, 2015, 06:29:00 PM »
For those who have thrown them, how similar/different are the dream on and bank, and how similar/different are the dream and bank pearl?

The bank was one of the best heavy oil balls I've ever owned, and I noticed the core numbers are very similar although the dream on is a hybrid. Never had a bank pearl but I have one undrilled that I'm considering drilling.

Any insight would be appreciated. The new Global stuff is very interesting. Thanks!

I've thrown them all and I will try to give you the differences in what I see between the balls you mentioned.

Dream vs. Bank Pearl - for me I see the new Dream way more consistent of a reaction not the over under that I saw with the Bank Pearl.  Also the Dream has more length and more pop off the break point.  When I need to move in and play deeper angles the Dream can carry the 10 from in and I didn't see that with the Bank.

Dream On vs. Bank - Now the original Bank was one of my favorites for sometime.  The Bank was great on heavy conditions not that the Dream On can't just the Bank was better when comparing the two.  Where Dream On is better is if you need to open your angles a little more on the fresh.  Dream On can continue enough to keep above average carry while the Bank seem to finish a tad flat.

You will be very impressed with both the Dream and Dream On as they are both very nice pieces. Good luck on your search and please let me know if you have any questions.

Since I have had that ball, it is the only thing that I will pull out of my bag.  Works excellent at the start of the game all the way through when the lanes transition.

Comparing the bank and dream on, which would you guys say is more versatile? The bank was versatile for me in the sense that I could play the fresh direct with it and also play deep. Some high end balls are usually more one-dimensional for me. That's basically what I'm looking to get out of a new heavy oil ball. Considering the Dream on and one of the Guru's primarily.

Personally for me the Dream On is way more capable of being more versatile.  The Bank never had enough at the breakpoint for me to play inside lines.  But the Dream On has more movement off the spot for me.

Dream On is very versatile ball IMHO. I've found great success with mine on a variety of patterns. 2014 Masters and 2015 Masters, 2015 USBC Open team patterns just to name a few. Just like any other high-end ball, surface will dictate most ball reactions. Try one out, I bet you'll be surprised at the performance. It will not disappoint.
