Rules are rules....some made to protect are well being, some made to protect our business. If you were in the business you would understand what internet low ball prices do. Bottom line is its a policy.....a rule.....just follow it, and don't try to "strike it rich" by breaking it. That being said...It's just my opinion.

once they get the money and the person gets the product why do they care where they sale the product, ebay technically isnt a online pro shop so it shouldnt really count.

Reg,   you may have a point about ebay.
However as for their sales, I think you are way off!!!

Actually,  I think they under estimated sales.  If you had tried to place an order recently with them,  you would realize that they are in a back order statis on the Break Pearl as well as the Break.  Seems to be selling as fast as they can make them!!!

I think the real reason for going to the dist.  is that certain dist. are finding out how well the line is doing.  And by not having that line,  they are losing sales.

Now as far as I know, global will start selling to certain dist. but may have
put restrictions on them, as to who they can sell too.

Now since two very large dist. are going to start to carry these balls.  Many more consumers will be able to get these balls from their favorite pro shops.
And hopefully,  we won't here that "my pro shop can't get them"

Also it is costly and takes a lot of time to sell 1 or 2 balls at a time, to small pro shops.  Not every pro shop orders 12-16 at a time.  Now with dist. coming on board,  small pro shop orders can be handled by them, thus saving Global both time and money.

I think it's a good move and a smart move.

I was there when they were running the 1st run of Break Pearls, 3000 1st run and they're gone in a few weeks sounds to me they under estimated the market for their ball to me.

It didn't hurt that the Break Pearl got a 10 rating for a tweener on a medium pattern in BTM.
