So if the Inception Redux with the S80R Hybrid coverstock is the strongest ball 900 Global has ever made (I think), how stupidly strong should we expect the Inception DCT with the S86R Solid coverstock to be? It looks like the upcoming release is going back to the original Adaptor/D core so the numbers are different, but that might be make it even stronger yet. And then there's the ceramic bit...

Very interesting.

Strongest cover the Global side has used, but F90 has been used on the Pure and on the Incinerate. Never threw a Pure, and I have about a game on my Incinerate, but... wow. That cover... So 80 wasn't too much of a step up from the 79 on the Respect and 78 on the Moxie (and on the new Stealth) but 86 is a big step up from 80, and with a ceramic piece in the middle of the already dynamic Adaptor/D core, that's a lot of ball.

I'm young(er) what is the point of a ceramic core. I remember all of the old c300 balls with it, I was a child then and didn't care ....

Someone enlighten me beyond "more strikes"

Thanks, yo.

Ceramic allowed a dense material inside of the ball, which it was believed that it made the ball hit differently, since the COR was changed. Energy transfer, blah blah blah.

But some ceramicore balls had cracking issues, so I hope they sorted that out.

The Ceramic cores of 20 years ago were good stuff back then. I had punched up some used original Cudas about 4 years ago and I don't know if it was the mental aspect, but the balls appeared to just mix the pins differently on flush and off hits compared to balls without the Ceramic core in the middle. I swear I could hear a difference when a Ceramicore ball hit the pins compared to a non-Ceramicore ball. The Titanium nuggets were very good as well...but I liked the Ceramicores better than the Ti cores.

Brunswick had the Bismith (or however it was spelled) nucleus in the center of many of their bowling balls, and those balls were always good as well.

Always assumed these were methods of using a higher density material near the center of the core in order to modify the rg of the cores...

Same here.  I believe the intent was to negate the effects of drilling somewhat.  Center of the core was super dense and rarely touched during drilling.  Secondary core material was slightly less dense.  Then filler (if needed) and cover.
