Holy cow, what a dang sweet looking ball. Forget stock pics, this thing is awesome looking in real life.

You also knew that I didn't want a weight hole in this one. Thanks, 900 Global! No thanks, FedEx and Polar Vortex. Took a week to get here from Texas.

I agree about the appearance of the ball.  I was honestly surprised how great it looked in person when mine arrived.

With how I want to lay it out, that will work just fine. As for the appearance... wow.

Perfect for a righty.  A left hander would have had a helluva time if any to drill that ball.  It does look sweet!

So, got to throw this and my Darkness last night. Bowled on the leftovers from an mixed league, and the pattern is pretty heavy and long in the middle (10 to 10 is 43 feet with lots of volume, then tapers off to 3 units by 3. Tug it, and you miss right at the backend.) Could really see the low RG of this ball working. Good scoot thru the heads, but read the friction without overhooking. It was a little squirty on some tugged shots, but when you follow some people chuckin plastic down 13, it's bound to be an issue. Was going from 13 at the arrows to 6, and I REALLY liked how the ball read the friction. Looked like it was going to go stupid left, and just faced up real nice.

For not bowling much in the last couple of months, I shot in the 230's so I am considering that a minor victory. Although, FIBJAM. Excited to get it on the fresh so I can see what it will really do. I think with a stronger drill and a little more surface, this would be all you need on a heavy house shot.

I had a coaching session with Mo Pinel and I was throwing my Network.  I could not get the ball to the pocket no matter how far I moved into the friction.  Keep in mind I'm very speed dominant and probably need to take the surface way down to maybe 1000.  Mo put me into a Brunswick Mastermind and that ball opened my eyes to what backend reaction should be.

Mo's comment about my Network.  "Use that thing for a spare ball"  LOL

I love Mo's outspoken nature.  Obviously he's going to be partial to Radical, DV8, and Brunswick.

Like I said, I'll take the surface down and see if I can find a use for the Network...

Obviously, a Mastermind vs a Network is going to be much different. I could see if you take the surface down to 1000 it being much better, especially if you're very speed dominant. It IS a pearl after all. Ever try an Incinerate? My Darkness is a pretty awesome ball too. Are they drilled the same? How is your Network drilled?

If the Mastermind is backending hard, then you're going to throw the Network thru the break, no matter what.

Imbackinthegame.. I throw the ball over 19MPH and I have no problem getting my Network back to the hole on 43" of oil.. I did take the surface to an E pad though.  I would compare the network to a  radical version2 pearl  but just a touch weaker on the backend on the network even with the surface change.  most of brunswick balls are made to set up early.. I have my network drilled with the pin up 3/4" above the ring finger and kicked right 1"  the MB is 3" away from the thumb hole and the ball has  7/8s side weight. its a great ball on the PBA patterns as well.  dont give up on it just yet  ;)
If you want it, go after it and make it happen.  If you don't, you have no one to blame but yourself....or maybe your just not throwing the right equipment  :)
