Running out of options with Dream On
« on: April 25, 2015, 09:36:48 PM »
I have tried everything possible to get a consistent reaction with my Dream On but so far nothing has worked .  Bowled on many different shots from a sport shot, Nationals to my THS. Tried ball at OOB all the way down to 1000 abralon and still can't get ball to work consistently. I am thinking maybe my release is not cut out for asymmetric balls. I did have the Nano Pearl was was asymmetric and had some success with that ball. I put a balance hole in to increase flare but now ball just keeps leaving 10 pins. Next step is to try some polish at 4000 and see how it rolls. I think I am the only one who doesn't love this ball.  I have the Respect and when the back ends tighten up ball is a beast. Too much back end at beginning of league to start with Respect. Thinking about selling Dream On and getting Dream Big when it comes out.  Hopefully it is a symmetric ball. Respect Pearl also on my list for summer.

Dream big is an assym.  Idk I'd go 1000 and then storm step two, that's my remedy if I got a new ball and I dont like its reaction.

If the dream on is anything like my old rogue cell the ball was lane surface specific.  Some houses it sucked, some it ruled.  I keep it in a locker at a center where it always worked well at.

Didn't use it for a year, picked it up for back to back 750s for 3rd place AE in city tournament.  I still love it til this day!

And I know you dont really want that reaction from a heavy oil ball but it always works...I for some reason have great luck with it, after about 6 games or so I usually have a big set and make bracket money back to pay for it, and I get something else...but in the mean time, I got something I can count on.

Thanks Billdozer     I am adding polish before my next league night. Sometimes for whatever reason you just don't match up with a ball.  Probably should have got the Moxie to compliment my Respect. Waiting to see specs on Dream Big and Respect Pearl before making a decision. The Jackal looks like a amazing ball by everything I have seen and read. Might be my next purchase.

Dream Big is the same weightblock as the Dream On and Dream, but with a solid version of the cover found on the Respect. Don't know about the Respect Pearl yet. If you don't like the Dream series, there is also a Black Ops, which is going to mimic the Eagle line, and a ball called the Booyah, no idea about that one yet.
