Wheres the Cobra vid?
« on: June 23, 2012, 09:29:36 AM »
 Hey guys,

Not everyone needs (or wants) an oil eating, 67 board crossing, self righting, green nuclear bomb.

A low flaring ball with a cood cover is going to be a blessing to me. Can y'all PLEASE give us a look at this one?

I have a brand new 15# Ninja, Ninja Fury and Ninja RPM. Haven't had the heart  to drill any of them. . Also have a single drill RPM Swirl with 1 game on it. Would love to see those balls remade. Also have the "Ninja and Ninja Fighting Force videos and promotional poster

I forgot about the RPM.  I have a lightly used 15lb.  I was thinking there were only 3 released in the US.  I think the blue one was the one that hooked the most but i could be wrong.

The blue one (Master) was the control, and the red one (Fury) was the hook monster. Those balls owned!

Looks like I am going to have to get the Cobra.  I love the SRC core in the Bank.  However, I don't bowl on anything heavier anymore so the green Mamba appears to be not be in the picture for me.  I may have to look into possibly The Look too but thats it.

I finally got to throw my Cobra and Bull Whip last night and I basically had the same reaction that Eric did in the video.  I have similar ball speed and rev rate to him.  The Cobra is controllable but definitely will move through the mid lane more than you might think.  The Bull Whip was just a monster on the back end.  It snaps hard but a smooth off of the break point hard if that makes any sense.  You can see how I drilled them in the images I posted.

Bottom line is both of these "retro" pieces have a place in any ones bag.

If AMF wants a remake, I vote for the SUMO!! Loved that ball in the day and would love to see that core with a updated coverstock.

Don't forget about the RPM Formula 4, which was green.  Great ball!

Whether its me wanting to believe something that is not there, I just drilled a brand new original Boss Ti a month or 2 ago and the snap when hitting the pins just sounds different than the other stuff I have that is much newer. Same goes for the original Critical Mass I still have as well. When the condition is right and I can get the ball to the pocket, the crack is just different....

Oh well

WOWZERS

I have the same impression with the Ceramicore in my Columbia 300 Super Cuda/C Pearl.

OMG I am so sorry! This is how the line up went.

Black Ninja
Ninja Master
Ninja Fury
RPM
RPM Pearl
RPM Formula 4

I have a feeling that the Formula 4 was AMF's answer to the Forest Fire Storm

Also, RPM was huge on tour, and is part of bowling history (Bob Learn shooting some silly scores in an arena, anyone?)
