KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lane Conditions: Medium-Heavy Oil drilling, pin over ring finger which is AZO Drilling # 2. I have been reading about AZO balls and all talk is about the hitting power. I concur. A very smooth continuous arc through heads with a heavy turn (not skid/flip) last 10 feet without over reaction to dry on wet/dry conditions to pocket. Let me tell you I have not heard a sound like this when the ball makes when hitting the pocket. KABOOM!!!! 10 in the pit. From my Pro Shop guy ( who bowls on this league) to anyone standing in hearing distance came over to see. No one have heard of AZO, but all started asking Pro Shop owner about how to purchase. Changing my entire arsenal to all AZO.

I hate to say this is the worst ball i ever thrown this ball is not an oil ball what so ever nothing more than a white dot. Every one talks about the AZO crack of the pins i thought i heard it on one strike i rolled but, it was the guy next to me eating a pretzel the weakest ball every rolled 9 games on it at different houses same result crap. I was using AZO strongest drilling layout and my shined up buzzsaw silver diamond just blew it away sorry AZO but this one is pure CRAP!!!

I won this ball from Donkee's web site (Feb. '04 contest) and had it drilled using the "max smoke" layout (drilling pattern #1) from the AZO/Lane Masters data for this ball.

Tried it "out of the box" (polished from the factory): for my delivery (relatively fast, low-medium revs) it didn't react much different than a "standard" urethane or even a White Dot.  However, when it did hit the pocket, it was pretty impressive.

I then had it sanded using 400 grit (again, per drilling #1 recommendations).  The ball then OPENED-UP and performed! tremendous movement through the oil (primarily down-and-in 'tween the 5 and 8 boards) and into the pocket.  Of course, I had to keep the speed up (17-18 mph) and give it some revs otherwise it broke early with lots of Brooklyns.  Throwing it deeper in the oil (down 10-15), it still did some great movement.

Did I get any "KABOOM!" hits? no, but I did get some very interesting pin carry resulting in some unlikely strikes.

I'll be keeping this ball for a long time!

I purchased this ball off of the recommendation of Mike Riggins. He indicated that not only was this a superior performing ball, but that it did in fact hit harder and sound different than other competitors equipment. I had this ball drilled according to AZO's recommended drilling pattern #1. Unlike other reviews I have seen posted on this site I have been very pleased with the performance of this ball. I left it in box condition and after about a one hour practice session felt it was ready for competitive use. 1st set a ho hum 650, next night subbing in scratch league with competitive lane condition and 1st night in this house all season I went 30 clean 228-247-278 -753, while others may question its performance the only question I have is why in the world would no one with-in 90 miles of me not carry this equipment. Followed the 753 with 698 & 708 next two sets. Fellow bowlers have been badgering me about where they can get one of these balls. I just wish they paid their fee so they can be used in regionals

This ball has to be one of the most Smooth and consistant hitting ball I have ever seen. I have a couple of ther AZO equipments, but this one is very special. It just won't stop hitting the pocket. I was able to control the amout of hook on this ball. I have even used this ball for a 10 pin spare ball. Very controllable and predictable. Did I also mention that this ball has great backend???? WELL.. IT DOES!!!.

I have had this ball in my arsenal for over 9 months and own 3 of them. Each with different layouts and the balls do exactly what they are drilled for. I don't know why Mr. Buzzsaw cannot wrinkle a ball, but, I guarantee this ball is better than one of those "overpriced", "made by someone else", "Hey I've got an idea, let's use the same weight block in everything we make" Bowling balls.

Have a good day all!!!
