4E Shoes?
« on: April 29, 2017, 08:07:05 AM »
Getting back on the lanes after 25 years. Need shoes. Ordered extra wide online and found that I need 4E width. Can't seem to find any online. Anyone know if 4E width bowling shoes are even available? And of course I am a lefty so lets make that even more difficult. Thanks in advance.

I would check on Linds semi-custom shoes.  They can be ordered in EEE width and left handed, too.  I am not aware of any in 4E at all, but maybe someone else will know.

The other option is to get a pair of regular shoes that you can dedicate as "bowling only" and put a slide sock over your right shoe.  If you never wear them outside then no one can say that you are scratching their approaches, etc.

I usually wear a 4E width street shoe, and have used Dexter or Brunswick wide width bowling shoes with no problems.

As a lefty myself, with also a wide foot...I wear 4e in sneakers. I wear linds....I have the xxxtra, which is their adjustable sole shoe in wide width and it is certainly roomy enough. Check ebay, there are sellers that have linds lefty and wide width for fairly cheap.

Thanks for the great replies. Will check out Dexter SST8. Now I got to figure out the new ball spaghetti bowl. I have started research and just wow. I still got my old Columbia Yellow Dot for slick lanes and a Bonanza (dont laugh, I tossed some darn fine series with that puppy) for dry lanes. Only thing you had to know back then was what your ball "punched out as". Low 70s for slick and low 90s for dry. Whats going on nowadays, or past 25 years since I left the game is crazy. Grinned when I saw your ball list Bowler19525. WHITE DOT!!! Something I recognize and a darn fine ball for wood lanes and I suppose spares nowadays. Again, thanks guys, I'll post on the ball thread for advice on that.
