Dynothane Sports Elite Bowling Shoes
« on: January 20, 2011, 11:52:44 PM »
Currently, I own a pair of Dynothane ABS Ultra Tour bowling shoes, but was looking for a second pair of shoes.  The new Ultra Tour's are pretty expensive, but I ran across a pair of Dynothane Sports Elite shoes for a fairly good price.  These are supposed to be an upgrade with Cabretta leather (sheep skin) versus the cowhide found in the sport ultra and sport deluxe models.  I know that Kangaroo is the best, but I would like to get some opinions from anyone who is familiar or has owned a pair of Sport Elites to see what you think of them.  Being soft Cabretta leather, similar to premium golf glove leather, I would assume that they would feel comfortable, but would they be durable?

Thanks

I had them and they were very comfortable and held up quite well.  Unfortunately, I ruined them at a Brunswick Zone whose approaches were stickier than a movie theater floor after a Saturday matinee.  Could never get all of the crud off and had to pitch them.  Since these are discontinued, can you please let me know your source?

I had two pairs of Dynorooz Sport Elite Cabretta's. They were great shoes. The sheepskin they were made from was very soft and supple. I never had a problem with their durability.

Thanks for the replies.  Yeah, I was concerned about the Cabretta leather albeit soft and supple, I was concerned about its durability.  Cabretta leather golf gloves are soft and provide good feel, however I don't feel that they last very long.  I really like the Kangaroo leather on my Tour Ultras, but I haven't been able to find a good bargain on a new pair; the Sport Elite model appears to be the next best choice in the Dynothane line of shoes.
