Hammer IV In-Line Roller

Does anyone have the Hammer IV In-Line Roller bowling bag?  If so, I would like to hear your opinion on it.  I am thinking about buying one.

I have had 3 or 4 of the 4 ball inline rollers over the past several years and I always end up selling them because they are way to heavy with that 4th ball on top and very bulky as well.

A 3 ball roller and single ball tote work out alot better IMO. Thats waht I use now and am very happy with it..

I've got the inline IV, and it's a great bag. It's a little taller than I expected, but that's not that big of a deal. I got it at the beginning of last season, bowled 3 1/2 leagues, and a ton of tourneys, and it barely looks like it's been used. So far it's holding up very well.

I have gone through 3 of them allready. They are covered under warranty but still keep falling apart. Its pretty much the same thing too. The bag rips primarily at the 4th ball spot. Its too heavy for the way its constructed. And the vinyl black portion tears away as well.

I have the Storm Rolling Thunder 4 ball roller.  It's great and like having 2 bags in one.  You can take off the top and just use the shoulder strap to carry 2 balls, or keep it attached for 4 balls.  It is very easy to take the 2 apart for loading/unloading purposes, so you don't have to pick up 75# at one crack.  Plus, if need be, when you pull up the handle to pull the bag, there is enough space on there to add a Joey bag as well, making it a 5 ball bag!  I recommend this bag, though one of the carry handles broke when my son pulled his one ball bag out of the trunk of my 4Runner, making the bottom half of my roller to fall to the ground, breaking the handle.  A quick email to Storm and they sent me a new handle, free of charge, within a week.

- 4 balls are too clumsy and too heavy to haul around. A 3 ball roller plus a detachable 1 ball bag or a 2 ball tote are much more flexible
- the additional 4th ball "on top" raises the roller's CG - it is not that stable anymore when you move it around. Again, the 3+1 solution with a detachable tote is IMO better

Yep, I agree 100%. The 4 ball inline rollers are not very user friendly IMO..

To bulky and heavy with 4 balls inside..

3 ball roller and 2 ball or single tote is the way to go..

I don't like the inline 4-ball rollers for the same reason.  I will admit I don't have one, but I had a regular 3-ball Storm Streamline and it was easy to topple over when walking up or down the little steps you always take around the parking lot and inside the alley.  Don't catch the curb square and you're over.  The 4-ball inline bags can only be worse.

I like the traditional 2x2 stacked 4-ball bags.  You can take the top off so you never lift the whole 70+ pounds at one time.  Twice as wide, so much more stable.  Since they only have a 2-ball footprint, they take up less space at the lanes, too.

A 4 ball bag inline it's good but i'ts very heavy, i think that it's better a 3 ball roller plus one or two bowling tote x 2 balls, the second it's more confortable.

I must agree with this completely, my dad bought one of these and he'd just place the 5th ball on the top when the handle was pulled out.  He loved this bag and it is very strong.  Taking the top part off to make it a 2 ball bag is great too.
