Unidentified Shoes
« on: June 04, 2008, 04:20:52 AM »
In the most recent USBC magazine that we all receive as members, Tommy Jones and Walter Ray are wearing what I assume would be Dexters.  I can't seem to find them anywhere.  Are these possible upcoming SST 8's?

Yes, they are.  There is a post on here somewhere that has pics and details of them.

I have seen the SST8 up close and personal.  The non-slide shoe now comes with different souls as well.

I don't know when Dexter got so lazy that they had to make the sst 8's universal, top of the line shoe and can't make them in right and left. I was waiting for them all year to now purchase the SST 7 SE, thanks Dexter what a let down.

Actually, the move is brilliant. Very useful feature for bowlers and less stock for retailers.  Plus, maybe now lefties can get a shoe in a wide width.

Best idea Dexter's had in years.  They have to make 1/2 as many shoes as before.  As a shop operator I love it, don't have to order every lefthanded shoe for my customers.

Also, if you are a shuffler, you will have options to change your pushaway sole.

Don't quite understand the jump in price though.  I could understand the production cost to make left and right handed shoes, but the prodution cost seems like it should have gone down so the price might have at least been the smae as the 7's.  Oh well, mine are ordered.
