COMMENTS

First, about myself, I have around a 350 rev rate, and I keep my speed consistently between 16.8 and 17.2 MPH. I currently average between 231 and 237 on 3 different leagues in 3 different bowling centers.

I drilled this ball with the Pin 1 inch above the ring finger, and I had the mass bias placed just right of the thumb. My CG is very slightly to the right of my ring finger.

I owned an origional Hellraiser, and really enjoyed it, but DV8 has taken their pro performance line to an all new level with the Hellraiser Revenge.

I know serious bowlers like myself don't care too much about the color scheme, but it does help catch someone's eye when the ball is destroying pins. Great job DV8 for making the ball attractive.

The Hellraiser Revenge, for a pro performace dull ball, does clear the heads pretty well. Now, that being said, 3 to 4 games into most house patterns and it will need to return to your bag. It may have to be put up even sooner depending on the particular pattern

The thing that impressed me most about this ball is the carry when it hits the pins. The pins stay extremely low, and they travel side to side quite a bit. Even if the ball had a back row pin standing for an instant, frequently, a scout would fly across and take it down.

On this night, I played 13 to 5, and the ball just destroyed pins.

Thanks, DV8, keep the great products coming.

COMMENTS

Cleanest HP Ball I have ever thrown. Very responsive to friction and is very continuous down lane and through the pins. The pins explode when this ball hits it! I can use low axis rotation and go up the lane or raise my axis rotation and move a little left and go around the lane. This and the Hell Raiser are by far the 2 most versatile HP Balls on the market! Get yours today!

I have one pin 1 inch above my bridge which is about a 5.5 inch pin for me. The mass bias is kicked about 10 degrees and is just above my thumb hole and a little to the right.

I have another one that is rico'd (pin in palm, mass bias kicked 45 degrees & a weight hole through the mass bias just on the other side of my VAL)

Both layouts roll great! The pin up Revenge is a little quicker to respond to the friction. The pin down one comes off of it a little slower. The rico'd one is great for when the backends are fresh. LOVE them both!

BALL REACTION

Length:
This ball is clean through the front part of the lane even with 1000 grit finish. I have trouble with my ball speed and rotation to get the balls clean threw the lane especially high end equipment that flat out hooks

Back End:
The back end reaction on this ball is strong smooth continuation. A lot of times with a back end reaction like this it is easy to get the ball to roll out. Not this Damn Good Ball

Overall Hook:
I would not say laid out like this it is the biggest hook monster on the market but it will turn some heads and be more then 85% of the market

Midlane Read:
That is exactly what this ball does is read the mid lanes.

Breakpoint Shape:
Smooth, predictable, continuous, and strong

COMMENTS

Likes: I like how this ball clears the fronts nicely and consistently. Its strong and makes a predictable move.

Dislikes: That I bowl on low volume house shots a lot and don't get to see what this ball is all about to often

BALL REACTION

Back End: Very continuous

Overall Hook:Biggest hooking ball I've ever thrown

Midlane Read:Ball reads the midlanes great and even with strong midlane movement there is no energy taken away from back end reaction

Breakpoint Shape: Is pretty angular for a ball designed for oil ,but is very predictable and continous.

COMMENTS

Likes:Drilled this ball 55 x 4/12 x 35. This is by far the best ball I have drilled ever. It flat out hooks starting in the midlane straight through the pin deck. Carry % is as high as youll ever see and mistakes to the right generally for me become 10 pins or strikes. The most surpising thing for me is the ability to through this on a house shot. it doesnt over react on lighter volumes for me and on heavier volumes I have the ability to stand 5-6 boards left of anyone else on the pair and my only transition is created by me myself and I. Predicting this ball will be nominated for Ball of the Year!!!

Dislikes: Only dislike is I only have 2 of these...No flaws found yet with this beast

COMMENTS

I throw on average about 17 mph with an average rev rate and on a house shot this ball plays around 15 at the arrows for me. My revenge is laid out 50 x 4 3/4 x 70 as I prefer an arc motion for most tournaments. This ball, even with that layout, gets through the heads, even on wood lanes, very cleanly and stores its energy for the backend. Most balls that I layout with this pattern do arc, this ball seems to still skid/snap. This ball will read the dry quickly and rev up quickly with the low rg. Where as my original Hell Raiser was more roll than skid snap this ball loves to turn left hard. This ball carries the light hits and even when I miss it off the bottom it still sends pins across the deck. I prefer this ball for heavy oil and long patterns, but be cautious as if it sees even the littlest bit of dry its going to turn. I'd reccomend this ball to any bowler but mostly the speed dominant and low rev guys that need that little bit more hook than the competition offers and it works just as well on THS as it does on challenge or sport patterns.

On the Kegel Route 66 pattern this ball was a little much for my game as the pattern tapers off in the backend it reads even the slightest dry and with the dull surface and my ball being pin down it read a little early at times. However, when I threw the ball good on this pattern it gave me just a little extra room compared to my original Hell Raiser. Theres no doubt in my mind that if I had had a pin up Revenge on this pattern it would have given me the extra length I needed.

All in all this is a great ball it will be in my bag at all times as it will get me out of carry down problems and carry problems with pins.

Likes: Read the pattern very evenly and allowed me to stay to my strengths and not have to worry about the ball skidding to far if i got quick with it. It was able to store alot of energy to drive through the pocket.
