Ball PhotoBall Description
900 Global Train Bowling Ball

Ball NPS Score:
100.0
High Performance
- Coverstock: S76
- Color: Blue/Silver Hybrid
- Finish: NEAT (1500 Grit)- a new Natural Engineered Abrasive Technology that offers both enhanced aesthetics and surface topography on the bowling ball. As opposed to conventional abrasives on the market, “NEAT” has a multi-layer uniformed placement of abrasive structures that allows for superior surface area contact, which yields a more consistent surface across the entire bowling ball.
- A few tiny pit holes in the cover stock of the ball are normal
- Core Type: Symmetric
- RG: 16#-2.494, 15#-2.505, 14#-2.519
- RG: Diff 16#-0.054, 15#-0.054, 14#-0.054
- Description: Designed for heavy to medium heavy lane conditions The “Train” features the S76 cover and NEAT – E finish collaborated with a unique new core design that allow for unprecedented on lane performance. The all new symmetric “Combustion Core” contains extended protrusions from the body of the core that allows the Radius of Gyration (Rg) contours to be manipulated from their normal axis orientations within the ball. The altered Rg contours allow for a change in typical axis migration that yields more overall continuation down the lane. Coupled with the S76 shell and NEAT finish, this Train is sure to “Run ‘em Over” !

Likes: This is the new 'big dog' on the Global shelf. OOB this ball is not for the weak of heart.

It's all I can do to keep this ball under control, mostly because I'm a stroker, with med-average speed, and pretty good rev rate. I have to be sure to keep the speed up (for me), and chase the oil...Strike percentage for balls in the pocket is really high, no weak tens with this one, more 9's and 4's for me than 10's and sissy 7's...lots of ten in the pit strikes, straight back, that's the way I like to see the pins fall. The key to this ball will be lane conditions, and when to put it back in the bag...This ball is not for everyone, I think this is for the mid/above average bowler that's looking for a ball that will let him carry that one or two extra strikes a game to get his game scores up a little, and maybe raise his average if it's stuck..This ball has the potential to turn those 215-220 games into 230-240 games by giving you that extra strikecarry/power...This is not a magic ball, it is modern technology, and todays ability to determine ball reactions before thay hit the street. This ball is at the top of the striking food chain, ...jime

If you are a fan of balls that do not over-react on lanes.. you should try this ball.. It sets up to a roll phase pretty smooth and continues? to roll.. I've tested one last week and i had the front 9 before leaving a 4pin on the 10th.. If you like the carry for the last BankRoll, this will be the ball to go.. It allows u to open up the lanes by 3-6 boards from the BankRoll.. =) Hope this helps for those interested!!

Dislikes:

I just hope 900Global will make a ball for drier lanes.. something in the urethane series..

Likes: The Train - a ball we've all been waiting for...hybrid cover that just keeps coming!  Drilled this ball a different than normal.  Dual Angle Layout of 35 4" pin and 25 degrees to the VAL.  Looking for a strong breakpoint and a ball I could possibly use OOB.  I got that and more.  NICE strong smooth roll, not too much early hook for E pad finish and a ton of continuous backend!  The ball reads the lane extremely well and the hybrid cover with this new symmetrical core really gave me a hard backend motion that was strong but predictable.  Carry is superb.  Very versatile cover.  Tried it polished with a factory finish gloss which made it more playable on drier conditions and increased the backend reaction.  Was still able to achieve good carry results with the surface change on a variety of lane conditions.  Might be the BEST ball out there right now!  Great ball from 900 Global!!

Likes:When I got this ball, I wanted to be able to use it on my late league on synthetics where the lanes are a wet dry condition. I wanted ball to retain some energy down the lane, so I used an "a" pad using NEAT finishing system. Then I used a "t" pad and then put a dirty rag on ball just to put a little gloss on it. My pap is 5 15/16 by 5/16 up, I layed ball out with a 12 o clock pin and kicked cg out about half an inch with no hole. So I took it to league that night and hadn't thrown it yet. The results speak for themselves, I shot 300 and 783 at one point I threw 20 in a row. The way this new core just retains energy down the lane, visually the ball shape reminds me of the old Hammer 3d offset. This ball just responds to what I want to do with it. I throw it harder and it saves energy for the down the lane, I throw it slower and it makes a great move in the mids and keeps the pins low. I am going to drill another one with pin under my fingers with cg kicked out a couple of inches for my sport league. This one's a winner!! A must-have!!

I love this ball.
train-is good on oily to medium lanes.

Ball gets down the lanes very good.

It has enough energry on the backends.

The train is a very controlble ball. It drives throught the pocket like a train.

I threw the train with one game out of the box and shot 300.

I love this ball. This ball is clean through the fronts but still usable on those heavier house patterns. The new core and cover combination is phenonenal. I have above average carry and this ball is usable on alot of different patterns.

Likes:Drilled ball stacked over my bridge, then took it to the T finish and then pollshed it.Ball is still very strong down lane even with the polish. It stores the energy so the ball still has plenty in the backend, compared to the bank roll it is 4 more board hook at least. Also you buy a train recieve a free jersey just pay s&h.

Likes: This ball is different from any symmetrical ball I have thrown in a while. If the Bank Roll didn't quite save enough energy for you then the Train will be the way to go. It is similar in strength but it continues much better downlane. The biggest thing about this ball to like is the way it goes through the pins. When lined up it will really help you open the lane up because of the way it drives through the pins and takes the corners out. It picks up well in the midlane and a hard arc to the pocket. It isn't the most angular heavy oil piece out there but it is strong enough to get into a roll on heavier patterns yet not get into a roll too soon on a medium oil pattern. I haven't gotten around to changing the surface of the ball yet. I have considered hitting it with rough buff for a THS just so I can square up just a touch and use it more often in the 3rd game of the set. Might still do that but I will give it a few more weeks before I decide for sure. Or I might just drill another one and hit that one with rough buff. I definitely think 900 Global hit a home run with this one.

On the Michigan masters pattern (http://www.mdusbc.com/Tournament%20Results/2011-2012%20Tournament%20Results/2012%20Masters%20Lane%20Pattern.pdf) it really gave me a good look from inside and outside. I was able to play either 23-8 and have a good look or move out and play 13-3.

Dislikes: When using the ball on its intended conditions I have none.

Likes:  This is the first 900 Global Product that I have purchased and I must say that I have been impressed. I am a left handed full roller and have been bowling for 48 years and found the Train to be a pleasant surprise.  First 2 games out of the box were a 239 & 247.  The ball was very consistent and responded well to the house shot.  Looking forward to using it on a sports shot and the BPA various shots.

Dislikes:  none at this time.
