Take your bowling game to a state of Absolute Nirvana! The Brunswick Absolute Nirvana bowling ball features the Nirvana Ultra Low RG core and surrounds it with the ECS (Enhanced Composite Segmentation) Hook coverstock. The ECS Hook coverstock technology allows this ball to produce a powerful mid lane motion with great continuation through the pin deck when used on heavy oiled lanes. BALL SPECS

Pin Length: 3 inch

Ball Weight:15

BOWLER STYLE

Rev Rate: medium

Ball Speed:16

PAP/Track: low

SURFACE PREP

Grit: I changed to 1500, comes 1000 OOB

Type: (Matte, Polish, Sanded): sanded

LANE CONDITION

Length: 41

Volume: medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

BALL REACTION

Length: The length on this ball is a little less than the DV8 Grudge that I was looking to replace.

Back End: String continuous backend motion, a little less angular than my Grudge but covers a few more boards.

Overall Hook: This is a hook monster, I was looking for a ball to use on heavy oil that wasn't to snappy when it encountered the dry. My Grudge at time could give me a lot of over/ under on heavier patterns and was tough to control for me on tougher patterns due to me drilling pin up in a strong position. I drilled this ball with the intent of wanting to be able to play a little straighter in the oil with a more controlable backend and that is what I got. This ball also keeps the pins low and has great carry!

Midlane Read: great, reads the lane perfectly on oily conditions

Breakpoint Shape: strong but controlable

COMMENTS

Likes: Great ball, looking forward to using it more in Tournsments.

Dislikes: nothing

Bowler Specs:
     Left Handed
PAP 5 over by 3/4 up
     axis tilt 17 degrees
     ball speed 17.5-18mph
     rev rate 425-450

Ball Specs
   15 lbs
    pin 3-4
    top 2-3

I drilled my Absolute Nirvana the same as my ultimate nirvana 55x5x45 with the pin above my bridge and mb by my thumb with an x hole on my val below my pap.

My intention with the Absolute Nirvana was to give me the same look of the lanes that the Ultimate Nirvana gives me but stronger.  that is exactly what I got with my Absolute Nirvana. It gives me the same look with the same reaction but it handles more oil..  This Ball isn't a first ball out of the bag for me but it Fills a Gap on the Heavy oil Tournament Patterns that I sometimes see..

If you are looking for a heavy oil ball that's predictable and continuous the Absolute Nirvana is the Ball you need in your Bag

Bowling Ball – Brunswick Absolute Nirvana
Coverstock – ECS Hook
Factory Finish – 500 Siaair, 1,000 Siaair
Ball Layout – 65 x 5 ¼ x 40

The Absolute Nirvana is a must have ball if you are looking for a ball for heavier oil.  I find that the Absolute Nirvana is very similar to the Ultimate Nirvana but is stronger on the heavier oil.  This ball gets through the heads very clean and reacts smoothly when it sees friction.  It’s very predictable off the spot and has a continuous back end motion which makes it a lot easier to adjust when the lanes start to break down.
This ball should fill a gap in most bowlers bags that they have been missing.  It will not be the first ball out of the bag for most bowlers on the typical house shots but when you need a ball for heavier oil this will be the ball to go to first.  I am very excited about this ball as I was missing a ball that gave me the ability to compete on heavy oil patterns at the tournaments I went to.  Brunswick has some aggressive balls for heavy oil but I feel this is the best ball in our line to fit that need.

LANE CONDITION

Length: Numerous

Volume: Different types

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  THS, SPORT

COMMENTS

Likes:  I drilled my Absolute Nirvana with the pin above ring finger and cg kicked out to the right about 1 1/2 inch with mb to the right of thumb.  This ball out of box was way too much on pretty much anything that I tried it on, I decided to hit the surface with a 2000 grit pad and this made the ball a lot more playable on a variety of patterns.  This ball really picks up in the mid lane and just continues through the pin deck.
Handles a lot of oil and still has some movement in the back half of the lanes.  If you are looking for a tournament ball to handle the heavy side of things this ball is the ball for you.  Mine hooks about 5 more boards than my original Nirvana and has more backend movement.

The Absolute Nirvana might be the most angular sanded asymmetrical ball I’ve ever thrown.  This ball hooks in all the right places.  I drilled this ball 4 x 45, which puts the pin above the ring finger and the MB just to the right of my thumb.  For a sanded ball this ball retains it energy and gets through the front part of the lanes very well and retains its energy and makes a good backend turn down the lane.  The difference that I see with this ball vs other strong sanded asymmetrical bowling ball is the way it continues throw the pins.  I hardly ever see this ball roll-out.  I’m looking forward to using this ball on longer/heaver oil patterns.

The Absolute Nirvana is a Brunswick version of the DV8 Grudge but a little stronger on the backend. This ball is definitely needed for very heavy oil conditions.  I drilled my  to help me control midlane and backend motion on today's flatter tough oil conditions.   If you looking for a ball for those tough sport patterns, this is the ball to have.

The Absolute Nirvana is by far the strongest ball in the line. This ball will give you the most traction on heavy oil lane conditions compared to the rest of the Nirvana line. This ball gets back to the pocket from deeper angles on the heaviest of oil patterns. The nice thing about this ball is you do not lose pin carry even know you can cover a lot of boards with it. If you are speed dominant or looking for maximum traction on heavy oil conditions this ball is for you. Stop by your local pro shop and get one punched up today. You won’t be disappointed.
