Brunswick Equipment
« on: June 26, 2016, 09:05:09 PM »
In the last year I know of 4 people who were on staff with Brunswick suddenly jump ship on their own and go to another company.. 2 to Global, 1 to Storm and 1 to Ebonite International... All of them have said that they are much happier.. I don't bowl as much as I use to which means I don't buy equipment as much either but I do want a new ball. I use to always take a good look at Big B but I'm thinking of looking elsewhere. Has Big B lost its mojo or are they still one of the top brands??

I am also. The guy said,
I do not use Brunswick balls because they are manufactured in Mexico. I know that
it is getting difficult to "buy American" these days, but when I have a choice, I will purchase products made in the good old USA.

The other guy said,

Bergman, I share you opinion. Why anyone would throw Made In Mexico bowling balls when so many GREAT bowling balls are Made in the USA is beyond me.

Motiv is making a huge profit on its bowling balls in the exact same plant Brunswick said it could not make a profit at. All Brunswick did was go for cheap labor.

So both are just saying that when they have a choice, they buy American. IF you have 2 different sets of tools, 1 has "made in the USA" on them while the other has "made in CHINA" stamped on it. Which will you choose? 90% will say "USA."

I'm not taking a jab at Brunswick. I chose not to throw them, but I would be lying if I said that there stuff doesn't look better than it has in a long while.

They will likely pick which ever is on sale or the person is willing to let them trade two used used junk items for one new item.........from what I have seen on the internet at least.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

Are you sure about your facts?

I was going to say Motiv doesn't use the old Brunswick plant in Muskegon.  The only relationship between Motiv and Brunswick is that Motiv's parent company Tech-Line used to design/manufacture some cores for Brunswick.

Im younger so I guess made in america doesn't mean much to me anymore. Everything else I buy is made somewhere else so I don't know why anyone is upset about a bowling ball. Aren't the apple and samsung phones made overseas? I've been with brunswick a few years now and have had zero complaints. Everyone is making great stuff lately. Storm, brunswick, ebi brands everyone has something to offer everyone. If your brand works great for you that's awesome but to look down on a company b/c of where it is made is narrow minded. We live in a global economy. That's just the way life is. Btw the brunswick fanatic is freaking awesome.  ;D

And I tell my team mates, I used to get caught up in all these different balls, now, i learned they are all the same. The pins don't know what's hitting them once you make contact. I like Brunswick and Dv8, I also brought a Pyramid last month for 80 bucks, and shot a 246 1st game. It's about how it's drilled, cover, and how you roll it.

My tzones were all made in Mexico and I have had only 1 or two issues out of 8 balls.
Will expand arsenal after I polish my spares.
