Uh oh. The Inferno line is back. I know lots of people who will be lining up for that one. This is a pearl with the Activator 2.0 coverstock. The Magnitude 035 looks like a mid-range solid with the Relativity Flip coverstock. They're pumping it as a control front-to-back ball so this one might be popular for sport shots.

I think I was the only person on the planet that hated his Ultimate Inferno. Hated it.

But everyone else loved the Infernos! Lol

Never understood how global was able to pull it off but it was great seeing one of their guys on here denying it. It's also funny Track has the Heat name but the core is used by Storm in  the Ride series.

There were a bunch of infernos.  The original, and the absolute with activator + were the best.  Also, the Vapor Zone with activator+ and an asymmetrical core was a great ball.  A lot of the others were not great core shell matchups. 

Also, the absolute was re released about 5 years ago as the Anaconda.

Having used my Inferno a few sets now, it's the real deal.  Love it.  For whatever reason, I have never liked the color orange, but this ball might change something that's in my head for 55 years...

My very early report on the Magnitude .035 looks like it will have a place for those wanting something very controlled.  I've only rolled mine about about a game though.  First shot came up light because I tried the same line as a stronger ball, which was excellent news to me.  Made a move right on the approach and target and the ball was still very smooth, but got there and carried well. 

This ball should be money on shorter patterns as well as lanes that have transitioned and the bowler wants to stay where he started.  Time will tell, but I may try some compound on the cover, but at this stage I'm leaving it alone.  How many times do you wish you had a ball that would allow you to play close to friction AND not go crazy the last 10-15 feet of lane?  This ball didn't knock me over with hook, but will definitely make me some cash in the long run, for certain.  Nice addition to a well-rounded arsenal.

Maybe because Lane has a very experienced eye and knows Brunswick equipment better than anyone?

Thanks for the insult.   Coming from you it's a compliment.   It was probably a little more than a game, but yes, I put it away because I have a tournament this weekend, and rumor has it that it's a shorter/flatter pattern.  I thought controlling the back-end will be important. 

I will post more after I use it more.  Why?   Sometimes I wonder...

Nick, thanks.  I don't know if I know Brunswick better than everyone, but I try to understand where and when to use a particular ball, and I'm a "surface freak" who is unafraid to try things.  The factory surface is good so far.
