ok about me ive been using storm and 900 global stuff for several years and wanted to try something new im a tweener with med. revs and speeds at abt 15mph i want to try brunswick equip. iv had better luck with polished bowling balls. ive been looking at the melee jabor the vintage danger zone mostly bowling on ths med oil what would some,of you suggest or are there other options as well thanks,for your time

Both are really popular balls.  The Danger Zone is even and rolly for fresher lanes and the Jab is stronger off the back which works well for me later in the blocks when I want to open up my angles.  Both are important pieces of my tournament arsenal and will work well on medium volumes.

You can also toss the Fanatic into your options.  Great reaction for the up the boards player.  Not as angular as the Jab, but very responsive and strong.  You can't miss with it's "strong arc" motion.  Mine reminds me of the Danger Zone reaction but with carry of a pearl.

I recommend the brand as other companies are overrated and the social status of the companies outweigh the quality of products as the tzone does not crack alot. I bowled over 100 games with a former tzone and never polished it and the ball never cracked,

Thanks for the replies and also the idea abt the fanatic. also are any of those suggestions good for fresh oil im trying to find something versatile i have no problems playing different areas of the lanes.

Yes, all are good on the fresh, assuming you can find SOME friction.  Every ball needs friction to change direction.  That goes for any ball made by any company.

If your looking for the fresh I really like the Danger Zone the Fanatic makes a great ball down or if it's a little shorter dryer pattern. The danger Zone has been the most popular ball in my bag since I bought it almost 6 months ago. If you want something a little more than the Danger Zone the Mastermind Einstein's are still available and is really, really good too. Between the Einstein, Danger Zone, and Fanatic I rarely even bring anything else with me anymore.

I'd start with a vintage danger zone.    For me its by house shot ball.   I can start and finish the night with this ball.   The fanatic is another good choice, I find the fanatic more angular off the dry. If you are looking for an all around benchmark ball that you can throw on ths and not have to change balls all night  the danger zone is your ball.   If you want more back end then the fanatic would be a good chouce

I think the danger Zone is your best choice based on what you are looking for.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's a dark solid color, I'd have one already.


(Side bar: On house shots, I don't mind dark solid colors so much....really like the IQ Tour, but on the less frequent occasion I'm on a sport, the lack of ability to see whats's happening really messes me up.  More psychological I guess....but it has tainted me.)

I picked up a Vintage Danger Zone this summer to replace my old benchmark ball and I love it, have to take the oob surface down a little to overcome the extreme wet/dry condition at my local center but it took the surface change well and if it's anything like my old Danger Zone as a junior bowler in the mid 90's it'll be fantastic!!
This is the first Brunswick ball I've thrown since the Demolition Zone in High School and I'm impressed, so much so I plan on giving the new Absolute Nirvana a try to go along with my Danger Zone and new Storm Snap Lock!

If you have a problem reading your reaction due to it being a solid cover, just use white or any bright colored grips/slugs and you're good to go!!

I know it's being closed out, but I'd highly recommend the Brute Strength if you can find one. It's extremely versatile and will keep you in play on all manner of mediums. Of the 10 or so balls that Brunswick/DV8 has been kind enough to send me, the Brute Strength is far and away my favorite!
