What's going to be new at Bowl Expo?
« on: June 08, 2012, 10:49:49 AM »
What does everybody expect/think is coming from the Big B at Bowl Expo? What is your expectations, or what would you like to see? I would mind seeing the Versa-Max core on a coverstock similar to the Ulti-Max cover! I'd like something pearl with a higher diff and lower rg in a symmetrical core for a Loaded Revolver replacement! I curious to see what is going to replace the Revolver line, or if they are going to expand the Versa-Max line for it's replacement! Still waiting on my Slingshot with a different coverstock and if they'll replace the Avalanche urethane with another urethane ball! I use my two Versa-Max' the most, a pin up and pin down for most house and modified house shots!
Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will not turn from it!

I think they're missing a ball reaction like the HY-Road/CrossRoads (Does not have to be a hybrid, just that type of reaction and oil handling)
and one like the Victory Road Pearl.
Note that all 3 are symmetric and are medium priced. Brunswick's closest to them were premium asymmetrics (Nexus pearl and Ulti-Max).

The Loaded Revolver was "like" the Hy-Road, but people didn't see it that way and it went by the wayside rather quicker than it should have.

The Versa-Max and Ulti-Max already have the same core.

I'm hoping for a pearl version of the Nexxus f(P+R).

Not true.

June 21st, Brunswick and DV8 will formally announce our summer releases.

Take care. :)

Versa is symmetrical and Ulti is Asymmetrical, so not the same core!!

I guess having the same exact name core should have been more obvious that they were different...lol

CORE

The new Dual Flip I – Block symmetric core incorporates a top and bottom flip block over a centered mass. The centered mass creates stability while the dual flip blocks keep the core revving to the backend all the way through the pins for improved pin action.

That's basically the same description from the Ulti-Max except for the symmetric part!! The cores both look identical!! Easy to confuse with both being called "The new Dual Flip I-Block"!! lol

I would guess after looking at overseas releases and the line up they are going with in the states you will have the following.

1-2 nexus balls released (likely a big hooking peal and solid or just one of either)
1 systems ball (i would guess the next systems ball will be a more aggressive ball then the versamax)
1 Karma
and you already have the new Slingshot that just came out.

The Karma series is nice. The Activator+ cover is truly one of my favorites and I have hoarded a few bowling balls the past few weeks that use either the pearl or solid of the Activator. So if they then used the Propel pearl or solid on the next Karma ball I would say they are going in the right direction for sure. The Propel pearl used on the Wicked Siege and Loaded Revolver is my 2nd favorite behind the Activator.
