Now Brunswick Exclusive!
« on: June 16, 2012, 11:03:37 PM »
Switched to all Brunswick equipment after being an Ebonite Int'l guy. I bought a Nexxus f(P+R) and shot my first 300 with it the 2nd game I had it. I also bought a Wild Card and Damage both for 30 dollars each, and cap off with my TZone spare ball. Brunswick equipment is awesome and I'm SO glad I switched.
Want to Buy: 15 lb Columbia 300 Full Swing (any number of drill but preferably 1)

Arsenal:
Brunswick NeXXus f(P+R)
Storm IQ
Brunswick Wild Card
Storm Marvel Pearl
Hammer Midnight Vibe
Brunswick TZone (Spare Ball)

It will definitely be a learning experience when you bowl. It's good to have a game plan, but don't be afraid to change things up if it isn't working. I like to see who is scoring and get an idea of what they are using and what part of the lane they are playing.

Yeah. My center laid out the Short pattern for me to practice on. My TZone hooked in the middle. If you want to be brave and swing the ball far outside, you better get it there in time. That's why I'm going to use a urethane, or weak ball to start with so I receive more forgiveness and have a late breakpoint. Once the outside is moderately broken down is when I'll start to score. But I bet there will be one point where someone will totally miss their mark and throw it in the gutter. That's why you don't play outside in different patterns until you actually see someone do it.

Good luck out there Teen... as Nick said it is a tough tournament. Best advice I can give is to have that game plan and do the best to stay out of trouble. SHooting a 190 is alot easier to make up then 150. Make your spares!!!

Thanks! Yeah. My coach (Rick Steelsmith) makes me shoot spares for an hour before we do anything else. I carry a 87% Spare Percentage, which is nice to be able to fall back on. Whenever I leave a spare I just think "It will all be worth it when you start stringing strikes."
