Alpha Max
« on: February 10, 2011, 12:35:43 PM »
Just wanted to post that this is one special piece. Definitely a look that I havent really seen from them.  Nice push through the fronts, great midlane with a strong move for a solid with surface. Reminds me of a Cell but with much more strength downlane and overall more hook.  For as strong as this ball is, it is very easy to read and I have no problem chasing the oil left unlike the Siege.

Definitely a no brainer with the $50 rebate.

I'm ready to buy one.  Anyone know where the best deal is right now?  Thanks.

I have seen a few posts of people saying that this ball sounds unusually super loud when it hits the pins. Has anyone else noticed this. And if so, does anyone know if Brunswick specifically worked on this as part of the marketing of the ball

Well from what I have seen and heard, sales of the new Alpha-Max have been great...

That $50 rebate has really helped sales...

Is that it, or is it the fact that it strongly resembles the ever popular CELL?

Jug,  Well can't say for the rest of the country, but it my shop the $50 rebate seems to be the big factor...What I am seeing is bowlers who would normally be buying a $120-$150 ball going for the Alpha...

And it seems that every time I re-order from the dist, they are out of stock...So IMO, the $50 rebate is working...

The best deal I have found on this ball is $146.69( including shipping ) at wholesalebowler.com. After the $50 Brunswick rebate the ball would cost you $96.69.

blockbusterbowling.com is out of Oregon.  You can call and ask for Alex to get great specs.  Buddies pro shop is also great.
