First Night w/Deep Freeze
« on: December 12, 2014, 09:29:05 AM »
The Deep Freeze is even better than I had hoped.  Little FIGJAM:  Drilled it Wednesday Night and with no practice with it; walked into league and went 258-279-259 for 796.  Went 30 clean and threw 31 out of 36.

To compare it to other Columbia stuff; I was standing 8 boards right (right hander) on the approach compared to the Disorder and 4 boards right compared to my Violent Eruption.  Compared to the Violent, the Deep Freeze is about 3 feet longer and not as angular.  My Violent is drilled 55 by 5 by 50 and the Deep Freeze is 40 by 5 by 30. Coverstock finish wise; my Violent is 2000 with light Clean and Sheen and the Deep Freeze is box finish (4000 with Factory Finish).

For those that have slower ball speeds, are rev dominate, or just want something to go a little straighter up the lane without the ball flipping hard on the backend; then the Deep Freeze is your ball.  This is the ball that Columbia should have released at that price point in the beginning when they released the regular Freeze.

Kinda figured that when I also read your review on the total diff. and Rg with the P4 double thumb x hole.  C300 users should thionk about that before laying out and our feeble rev rates compared to yours.  :)

As an update to last week:  Last night was a good night as well.  Went 255-258-254 for 767.  6 games with this ball and low game is 254.  The 254 was an open in the 9th after starting with the front 8 (bad shot by the operator...LOL).  So the first night wasnt a fluke.  Two weeks with a 260.5 average.  Ball is a winner!!!!!
