It's back...The PulseTM, from Columbia 300®. How have you survived so long without one? Well, its time to take your game off life support and bring it to a higher level. This Crimson Red classic incorporates the hottest coverstock of the decade, SUPER-FLEXTM Resin, with the original pressurized polymer core, including the Ceramicore® satellite center. The core creates 2-3 inches of track flare, due to its .026 differential Rg. As you remember, the Pulse delivers a smooth, controllable ball reaction. The result is a consistent, predictable ball motion on most common lane conditions. So get a Pulse! You can't live without one!.

I still have my original blue pearl pulse, which considering its age of about 12 years, it's in fantastic shape.  Here's why...

I had a rotator cuff injury when I was 17.  This ball had me rolling 225's routinely before that injury.  Fast forward.  Now I'm 24, and finally have time to bowl again, and my shoulder is also much better off now.  I had to get the thumb re-drilled in it to match my white dot spare, now they both fit the same.  Let's just say it's been a good six years since I've rolled anything close to a 192, my first "real" trying for score game since the injury.

I can definitely agree that this is NOT the ball for a drastic backend hook.  It is a wonderfully controllable ball on dry to lightly oiled lanes, but if you throw with any amount of speed on an oily lane, it might as well be plastic.

The nice part about the controllability this ball has, is that it makes for an extremely forgiving ball to help get this bowler back on his feet and up the score chart.
