Possible fraud alert!
« on: August 27, 2004, 10:23:57 AM »
I accidently lent my ballreviews logon to a friend of mine.

Know I've been around the internet for awhile and I'm aware that frequently one is alerted that people posing as moderators will sometimes ask for your password and personal information and to possibly engage in fraud!  Don't give out that info, I've been informed and I never do!

However I"ve heard that sometimes there is other possible fraud.

Maybe I've encountered some.

Recently I walked in to the office where I have my internet connection and found the person I lent my ID to standing with his shorts around his ankles, sans underwear, holding his ankles tightly with his hands and chanting over and over again.
"If we just become friendly maybe they'll be our friends".

And then more quietly I heard him utter,
"Heinz has 57 wonderful flavors".

I then found  this note in the message system.

"Recently ball reviews has instituted a policy of greater sensitivity and feeling on this site between bowlers.  We have now appointed anonymous moderotors to monitor this site.  I am one of them."

"You Luckylefty have been identified as an individual who has shown harsh feelings to your fellow bowlers, those who do not share the same political ideals, and also a strong hatred of terrorists.  We question why you just can't get along."

"IN order to  continue on this site and preserve your absurd number of reviews and posts(why don't you just learn how to bowl) we are allowing you this one last chance to continue on the site.  Assume this following position...... and repeat after me........."

"THE MODEROTOR"

I immediately saw the misspelling of the word Moderator and would have never fallen for this.

But my friend.  "Good God, compose yourself!"

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS have any of you already experienced any possible fraudulent activity along these lines?
PPS who are these moderators?
