I'm taking this with a grain of salt and it's hardly a in depth comparison cleaners.

He compares it against alcohol, Storm extra clean All purpose cleaner (which he doesn't use himself to begin with)

He brings the Perception vs reality video into it.

and Simple green kills a ball.

The tidbit about balls having something on them from the factory was interesting.




The purple stuff is Expensive! $13.99 $15 (on sale for $12.99)for a 4oz. bottle and they want you to use it after every shot (In other words use it up FAST & Buy more)

I'd love to try some first before spending that on a new product, They need to give out some free samples.

Those ground-in oil lines are the one thing that no water-based cleaner has yet, as far as  I have seen, been able to remove. Only this cleaner, Hook-It and Clean and Dull have removed them.

I got a bottle of the LMB International Extreme High Performance bowling ball cleaner.  To me, it smells like there is acetone / nail polish remover in the cleaner.  It almost smells identical to it.  So far it seems to clean ok.  I don't see it leaving the ball "squeaky" clean and as tacky as other cleaners

Are the ground in flare llnes removed?  charlest reports that they are removed which no other approved cleaner during competition does including TPS.  ONLY Hook-It and CandD remove flare lines and they are before/after competition....what's your finding?

 I did also and felt the same way about the smell....strong for sure. What other cleaners do you feel leaves the ball more tacky? I thought that it did a great job at getting the balls tacky.

As far as tacky feel after cleaning, I think Zappit Ball Cleaner is the tackiest.  I can almost palm a 15 lb ball after cleaning it.   But thinking about it, who is to say that means anything on the lanes. It could just mean that the cleaner getting my hand moist makes it so my hand sticks to the ball the most.. I would like to see a friction test on a piece of lane surface.  Remedy X and Tac UP also seem pretty tacky as well.  I will say that the LMB Extreme does get dirt off the ball.  It picks the dirt off the ball very quickly.  Zappit and TPS also seem to do a similar job with the dirt.

I think Zappit might be my favorite, just because it is the only one that seems to work really well and doesn't have some sort of unpleasant smell  They also have a Zappit Ball Stripper that is supposed to be a stronger cleaner.  I think they are in the process of approving it with the USBC.
