Classic Black Quantum and Wreckem
« on: November 15, 2017, 11:58:56 AM »
Got these “donated” to me at a tournament recently. Got to love frustrated bowlers.

Want to try them out, but not really sure what to do with them.

 My pap is 4 1/8> 1/2^.

Was thinking about just re-doing the thumbholes to adjust for my span.

The Quantum has the pin in the ring finger, cg swung positive with no x-hole.
The Wreckem has the pin above ring finger, cg swung positive with an x-hole 6 over.

With that pap, and being decently rev dominant, what should I expect if all I do is move the thumbhole for a span change?

Jackpot for you!  Both layouts seem fine.

My Black Quantum has been the perfect THS ball for me.  Just let it find some friction and it will do the rest for you.  Easy length with a nice back-end move.

I've seen others use the Wreck'em with nice results so you should come out the real winner.  Have fun!

Yea, I know, right? I was sort of stunned. I had watched her bowl her set, kind of rooting for her since she seemed to be struggling a lot, and she had used everything she had brought in with her without much luck. Guess she didn’t want to drag it all back out.

She just said “You look like you could use these”, set them on the countertop, grabbed her other four balls, and walked away. I waited for 20 minutes for her to come back, but she never did.

 Luckily they’re both 14lbs and that’s what I throw.

Gonna shine the Quantum back up. Looks like she had it at 1500 or so.

Use some compound first, and then polish later if needed.

Those Quantums are all two piece from what I understand so they should hit a ton.
Kind of noob when made this account so take advice with grain of salt.

But the 14 lb core is very odd, VERY high RG and high Differential.
Darreyl, I'd heed Lane's suggestion, due to that very high RG: try compound first before polish.
