There's a lot that goes into it.  PAP I believe is the most critical piece of information.  That way even if the pro doesn't put a measured layout on the ball, they should know generally where to put the fingers to get the desired reaction.  There's also a lot they need to interpret.  One person's heavy oil may be someone else's dry, while someone may buy a Sync and want the guy to drill it to skid and flip, which that ball isn't designed to do.  Someone may also want to see the ball skid and flip, but the better reaction for them may be earlier and smoother.  Probably the best thing you can do is have your pro shop guy get your PAP and watch you throw a game.  Hopefully they are knowledgeable enough to guide you in the right direction from there.
