If CG's don't matter, then......

Drill angle and the "scientific" numbers for dual angle layouts on symmetrical balls are just a "marketing thing", just plain bs. ???? Or it's legit?

When does the cg matter in a drill angle on a dual angle layout? (besides wanting a x hole)

if a drill angle on a ball was 90* and another at 50* (assuming no xhole is required) and having the same pin to pap location of course, there will be no difference if the ball reads the lane later or earlier right?

So, why did MO come up with this fancy layout method?

I don't know, that's why I ask..........
Does a round object have sides? I say yes, pizza has triangles..

Yeah only one driller in my area I would trust to do it and he is often on tour.  Double thumb works great for me and honestly you quickly reach diminishing returns with flare from what I understand.

The two weight holes do different things. Double thumb is used to increase flare. Motion hole is used to increase backend reaction. Double thumb layouts generally get the ball into an earlier roll. Motion hole layouts generally increase length.

Ah gotcha thxs.  So layout stupid.  Double thumb is definitely what I need then as length is never a problem with my style (hardly ever polish anything but spare/dry balls).

Double thumb, when done properly, should take a large chunk out of the marked mass boas, making it even more assymetrical, thus increasing the flare and midlane. If you bowl on a flood or throw bullets, that works.

I check both boxes which is why a double thumb More Cash is my league ball except often in game three its so line shined I have to switch to another ball as it won't turn the corner any more.

If you don't mind me asking, what grit are you using on your More Cash? Is it possible that the ball is burning up instead?

Lately I have been using lt grey scotch brite as the last step.  Was using white before but needed a little more bite early on.  Don't think its burning up because I am so speed dominant (16 to 17 on monitor).  Also bowl a doubles fun league 1st shift with a pretty heavy house shot so basically I am the only one burning up the shot generally.  Tend to have to play in the track generally because I just plain don't generate shit for side roll (low track, high tilt, low axis rotation, low rev player).  Ok with it.  Suppose I could learn another style but not trying to make the tour and content just to get more consistent which is coming along nicely this season with a few minor set backs.

So to recap, ball has a lot surface, a lot of flare, and goes forward. You must be bowling on an obscene amount of volume.

Corporate bowling centers with fairly new synthetics are about all that can be found in area.  Considering how oily urethanes get probably is a fairly heavy THS.  The only "dry" house is over by the University and even that is probably more oil than a lot of people on here bowl on I guess.
