Ball up from pin on Axis.
« on: September 23, 2010, 10:38:30 PM »
Hi all,

My brother has had a lot of success using a columbia Freeze drilled pin on axis. The ball is at 2000 abralon with a light polish.

He mainly uses this ball to play the gutter, but the only problem is that when there is a little bit of hang out there the Freeze starts squirting a bit, and he has nothing to go to as all of his other gear is too strong downlane to play that angle.

I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions/experience on drilling a ball to 'sit above' a pin axis ball, but still retain the same kind of motion with early roll and a slow response time to friction.

I was thinking of suggesting something along the lines of a 2 inch pin to PAP, maybe on something like a Columbia Burst, but I have very little knowledge or experience here.

Thanks for any and all replies.
