Tru pitch gauge, the cheap one

Is the tru pitch gauge/span ruler that's under $30 good enough for home use?

I use the Jonell and lower cost plastic ones.  I like to use the cheap ones for checking pitches in balls that the finger holes aren't drilled deep enough to use the Jonell.
