COMMENTS

The Diva Style is the strongest Diva in the Diva line to me.  The Diva Style reads the midlane sooner than Diva Divine and has a stronger angular motion in the backend as well.  The Diva Style is a great benchmark ball to have in your arsenal for league and tournament play.

Here is the newest addition to the Diva series, the Diva Style.  This ball uses the same core as the previous Divas but the core is rounded with the same composite cover as last year Thug Life.  This ball offers beautiful bright colors to please the girls.

I drilled two Styles.  The first one pin down, the cg kicked out and a balance hole.  This layout gives me a 80 x 4 x 80.  On the lane, I use this ball on the same line has the Vandal Destroy but the ball rolls much earlier and has less backend.

The second one pin up with the cg near the center of the grip.  This layout gives me a 70 x 4.25 x 40.  On the lane, I never use this ball on the fresh.  This ball is much cleaner through the heads and offers a little more backend.  Compared to the first one and my Destroy, I have to move 2 boards right to be able to get the ball to the pocket.

For people with higher ball speed, the ball can be smoothed out to a 1000 or a 500 grit easely without losing hitting power.

To conclude, it you want to have a sexy ball, great performance and not empty your wallet, the Diva Style is for you.

Diva Style
55x4x35

The Diva line has been my "go to" symmetrical line for a while now. No shocker that when they announce the Diva Style I was excited to get it. I drilled this similar to most of my other Divas 55x4x35.  Using this on several patterns, mostly medium in length, I noticed that the Style isn't your traditional Pearl ball. It's not a big length/flip, this one has a smoother transition than my XOXO and Diva Pearl. Truthfully, it reminds me a lot of the original Diva with a little more oomph. I found the Diva Style to be right at home on the fresh THS patterns with straighter angles. Which is a win for me. Being a lefty, I love to keep my angles closed and keep the ball in front of me. This ball was great as the lanes were going through transition too. It kept its shape and kept me in the pocket. I think this is a great ball for your average league and tournament bowler. This ball's slightly smoother reaction off the dry will keep you out of trouble and allow you to make small adjustments instead of going for the "Hail Mary" to get back in the game.

The Diva Style is just another awesome fit into the Diva line for DV8. This line is another favorite of mine as I have had great success with the Divas in the past. The second time I used my Diva Style I shot 300 with it in league. Don’t miss out on getting your hand in the beauty today!

The original Diva is my favorite ball of all time, so hearing of a new Diva series ball with the same core had me really excited for this release!  My Diva Style is drilled 50x5x45 (pin over the bridge) with no hole and was immediately taken to 4k as I am not a fan of the way polish behaves with my roll.

I have thrown the Diva Style on a number of different patterns from 36' Challenge Patterns to a variety of house shots and 45' Route 66.  The Diva Style is interesting in that I have never had a ridiculously good look with it, yet I've always had no problem finding the pocket with some decent carry.  In heavier oil, it is smooth enough to let me grind out a shot by playing the oil line, while on drier lanes I have been able to swing the ball and not fear the ball over responding if it sees the friction a little early.  It is a very safe, yet versatile ball that keeps my angles straighter and maximizes my pocket %.

In terms of ball reaction, the Diva Style gives me slightly above average length with an average amount of backend while not being particularly sensitive to wet/dry.  I see this ball as a Diva Divine with a coat of polish and 4-5' more length.  The Style provides a similar amount of hook to the original Freakshow and original Pearl Diva, just with a more even shape.  As for progression in my bag, it is typically the first ball that I grab once my benchmark pin over ring Freakshow Solid starts either rolling early or laboring on the backend.

Higher rev players will be able to square up their angles to increase their pocket %, while straighter bowlers will be able to keep their moves to a minimum with this ball.  I recommend the Diva Style as an everyday use ball which should make it out of your bag on a wide variety of patterns.
