DV8 Vandal

Alright now we all seen the videos and you always hear the pitch "The best ball motion ever!" right? lol Well this off season I wanted to take a look at DV8 a little more because I loved what they were doing last year. Every ball that was dropped was sneaky good. The problem not many in my area threw them to get a overall read on ball performance. So I saw and studied this piece and wanted to kick the tires on it to see what it was about. I went with one of my fav layouts 55 x 3 3/8 x 25. Then I went to the lanes to see what this monster would do. At 1st I wasn't pleased at all. I didn't see the ball motion I was expecting more so against other balls I had with this layout. So I went to the spinner and touched up the surface. Man on man why did I do that! This ball went crazy!!! lol The thing that stood out the most was how this ball came off the spot and hit. The hit is unexplainable. It drives thru the pocket and push pins back as well as staying low. I was able to play so angles that for an old man I haven't played in quite sometime. What I loved about this ball was how it took to surface adjustments. I made a few and each one mesh well with the Vandal. The new core and cover combo is outstanding. When it rolled I quickly forgotten that this was a pearlized piece. It was very clean in the fronts, handled the mids very well for a pearlized piece, and the roll is crazy. The down lane motion is great. No matter how far I went inside this ball would roll and keep coming. When I used some pearls they tend to skid too much and jump in the back. This pearl handle the mids well and still provide you with great hit in the back. When my Corrupt didn't hit well I was able to switch to this piece and it fit the bill. This shape is different and one that I haven't seen from DV8 since I have been using their equipment.

If you're in the market for a Heavy-medium piece try DV8 out and give this one a hard look.
