Benchmark DV8 ball
« on: February 25, 2012, 04:05:39 PM »
I have the Hell Raiser Revenge and the Misfit. Is there a benchmark type ball by DV8? Need a decent amount of oil for the Revenge and my Misfit is more 2nd shift type ball.

I find the Reckless to fit the typical benchmark ball mold.  I am able to use it on the widest variety of conditions of all the DV8 lineup, and it is usually the first ball out of my bag that I can then know if I have to ball up or down from it's reaction.  I hope that helps.

The Reckless is always the first ball out of my bag. I always keep mine at about 2000 and can not beat the reaction I get with it. Most nights in league I am able to use it all night and don't have to worry about wondering what I am going to need next. I also have found that this ball works very well on just about any lane surface and I have no problem moving right to play off the gutter, or moving way in and lofting gutter caps. Great ball at a great price. I think that most of the DV8 line is very underrated for the price point they are found in.

Thanks everyone for the answer. Reckless is going to be my purchase for sure. Misfit was the first DV8 ball I got because I needed something that would have energy left, then the Hellraiser Revenge has worked great for me. I am sure the Reckless is going to complete the arsenal for me.

Reckless is not only a benchmark ball, it is THE benchmark ball.  Best I have seen from any line.
