Hitman - Incredible Ball Motion and Incredible Hitting Power!
« Reply #2 on: November 15, 2017, 08:39:57 AM »
My name is Bryan L. Williams and I am a PBA Member and DV8 Pro Staffer

The DV8 Hitman is simply AWESOME! Similar to the DV8 Creed, the Hitman is one of the most versatile balls in the DV8 Line. This asymmetrical core ball can be thrown from multiple angles, but is better on oily-medium lane conditions. For your average league bowler, you will find that the Hitman will give you more backend than the Creed and works very well on any house shot. For the tournament and competitive bowlers, this ball work very well when you need more angle and hitting power off the spot.

The Hitman’s ball motion can be classified as very smooth and provides you that angular movement when needed down the lane. The layout for this ball is pin up and my CG at my midline of my span and its motion its ball motion is simply incredible. I highly recommend this ball as a great reader ball for any lane condition during league or competitive play.

The DV8 Hitman….If you are not throwing DV8, you’re just not bowling! #brunswickbowling, #dv8bowling, #radicalbowling technologies.

Here is the new high performance ball for DV8, the Hitman.  This ball uses a brand new core, the Hitman low RG asymmetric.  To wrap up this new core, they used a brand new cover, the N-Forcer.  This box finish is 500 grit with a crown factory compound on it.

For this ball, I used one of my favorite layout 45x 4” x 55 with the pin in the ring finger.  This layout gives me more roll in the midlane and a more controllable backend.

On the lane, I play the Hitman at the same place as the Creed.  The difference is in the reaction.  Because the cover is solid with a compound, the ball rolls sooner and is smoother in the backend.  I really like that king of reaction when I get an heavy roll in the midlane and still get a good finish.  Compared to the Vandal Strike, I play the Hitman 2 boards left with my feet and one board left with my eyes.  The reason is the heavy roll in the midlane.  When the lane break down and the Hitman begins to over react, I can switch to the Strike playing the same area and still get to the pocket.

Like all the other DV8 balls, the surface can be sanded to a 1000 or  even a 500 grit for people with more speed.

To conclude, if you wanna have a realy nice appealing ball and wanna have a great midlane roll and backend, the Hitman is your ball of choice.  And don’t forget, IT’S JUST BUSINESS.

COMMENTS

The DV8 Hitman is the most angular ball from DV8 I've ever thrown.  Hitman is so clean through the front and comes off the backend with a tremendous angular motion.  I drilled mine with this layout for tight house and sport shot patterns to have the ball maintain its angular power for the backend.  The Hitman is a outstanding and strong ball that every tournament bowler should have in their arsenal.

The new High Performance ball from DV8 is the Hitman and it is as good as it gets. The Hitman is a strong angular Pearl that can handle Med-Heavy oil patterns. I was looking for a ball that would be stronger off the spot than my DV8 Creed which has become my Benchmark go to ball almost all the time, that is exactly what I got. The Hitman has great length and makes a very angular move on the backend of the pattern and has great hitting power. What I like the most about this ball is that when I get it in the oil or move in deeper it still never quits, it hits just as whether I'm in the oil or swinging to the dry.

Length: medium length

Volume: med- heavy

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS so far

Likes: hitting power and control

Dislikes: nothing

The DV8 Hitman is a terrific option for an aggressive angular ball.  It goes through the pins beautifully and is a great option for opening up the lane on house patterns.  Also I will use it on a medium to heavy sport pattern when the lanes transition and the more even equipment begins to burn up or I lose carry.

I have it drilled pin over ring finger and with it in my hand I have confidence the ball will recover downlane, and not jump too much when it sees the dry.  Expect this ball to be more aggressive than the Creed, they complement each other very well.

I absolutely recommend this ball to just about any style of bowler, especially if you are in need of an angular shape on medium to heavy oil volumes.

Layout: 5 1/2 inches off of the axis point. No extra hole

surface: Box finish

Tested on a 38 foot house pattern

This ball is very unique and very strong! As the ball comes off of the oil pattern it responds quickly and hooks! One thing that I like about this ball is the way it hits the pins, its strong and continues to keep driving through the pins even after it has made contact with the pins.
The Hitman is a ball that I will use when the pattern gets broken down a little bit and I am forced to move in towards the middle part of the lane because this ball gives me the confidence that it will recover and get back to the pocket.
Also, the color scheme on this ball is pretty cool! You definitely won't miss this one going down the lane!
