So I had a ruckus feud and it was my favorite big hooking piece from DV8 and it wasnt close. So I found the feud's new big brother. The Thug unruly is a monster. I want to see it destroy a guru for overall hook on a video.

The feud at times seemed to struggle through the front of the lane where as this unruly glides through the front like its a low end ball then it just seems to hook back from as far right as I could send it. If anything is on the market that hooks more than this ball I would be shocked and id probably call you a liar!

Ok for the tech people out there. Here is what I did with it. Its a 80 x 4 1/2 x 30
Pin Is up in space for me since I track SOOO low. PaP is only 3 7/8 over up 1 1/2
Rev rate is right at 350 and 55 degree of axis rotation.

On a side note: I LOVE THE COLOR in person this ball just pops! Its loud without hurting my eyes like a rude dude.

The new Thug Unruly is exactly what you hope for when you pay the big bucks for a bowling ball. Not only does it hook quite a bit but it does so without sacrificing carry and reaction shape. This is the type of ball you can start and end a tournament with. It compliments the original Thug and Hooligan very well.

Can't wait to drill multiples of this ball!

The Thug Unruly has been a great addition to my bag.  I am especially looking forward to using this ball for USBC Nationals for its lane read and predictability.  This is a big hooking ball that reads the mid lane very well.  It reminds me of Radical's Guru, but has a little more skid/flip to it.  I drilled mine 55 x 5-1/2 x 70 and added a light polish to fit my game.  This ball handles surface changes very well and it will be a great first ball out of a bag on many medium to heavy conditions.

The Original Thug was one of my all time favorite asymmetric bowling balls, so I was very excited when DV8 announced a stronger version in the Thug Unruly.  I loved the motion my Original Thug gave me, but when the oil volume increased the Thug lost traction.
I choose a layout of 35x4x35, which is slightly stronger than the layout I used in my Original Thug, but I wanted the Unruly to allow me to open up the lane a little more than my Original Thug.
I first tested the Thug Unruly on the 43’ USBC Open Championships Team Pattern.  Wow do I wish I had this ball last year at Nationals.  I was able to play the track area effortlessly, and the Unruly had no problem recovering if I missed right a few boards.  It also allowed me to play much further left than I was able to play with the Ruckus Feud last year, which allowed me to open up my angles a touch and create hold left and recovery right.
I then tested the Unruly on a Typical House Pattern and I could not believe my eyes.  My first shot I tried to play where I typically play on that house pattern, standing around 25 and targeting right around 3rd arrow.  My first shot hook left so strong the ball hit the 2-4.  In order to strike with the Unruly I had to move my feet to 35 and target just left of 4th arrow getting my breakpoint to 7-8.  The Thug Unruly recovered every time and after a few shots I had to continue moving left.  Usually strong asymmetric balls start to lose energy and burn up on my when I get that far left, but I had no problem playing those extreme angles with the Unruly.
If you are looking for an extremely aggressive bowling ball, that retains energy down lane and does not roll or burn up early, the Thug Unruly is for you.  It will be great for any bowler on high volume oil patterns.

I had the chance to throw my DV8 Thug Unruly.
Layout:::: 50 X 5 X 40 Pin over the Bridge
 Box Surface
Rev Rate ::: 350
Ball speed:::: 16 mph
Condition:::::41 ft.  House shot

Let me first say this ball Hooks !  I like my DV8 Thug as it allows me to get left and never  doubt the ball will  come off the spot hard. The Thug gets through the front of the lane easily and at the break point has a stong continuation  .

The NEW Thug Unruly let's me open up my angles quite a bit. Standing about 39 with my left foot and tageting 23 out to 10  the Unruly had no problem making the turn without burning up.   Thug Unruly is earlier for me than the Thug but is harder at the break point. It is around 5 - 6 boards more than the original Thug.  When this ball makes it's move it just keeps going through the 8 pin off the deck.

I usually have trouble getting a ball to be consitent with extreme angles like this. The Thug Unruly for me seems stronger and more hook than my Guru drilled at 50 X 5 X 40 without the P3 Hole in the Guru.

The Unruly is going to be a ball that you need for those heavier volume and longer oil patterns. If you are seeking a ball for heavier oil patterns that is extremely aggressive Search no more.  Thug Unruly  is the ball.
DV8 has made great strides and 2015 promises to be a winning year.

DV8 has hit a homerun with this ball. This is a monster hooking ball.  On any house pattern throw the ball any place right and there is no worry that the ball will come back and crush the pocket. The ball clears the heads easily and when it hits the breakpoint it turns a hard left and drives threw the pins . Play the ball deeper in the oil and the ball travels further down the lane and still makes a sharp left into the pocket driving threw the pins with no deflection. This is a must ball in a bowlers arsenal.

COMMENTS

Likes: I haven't had a strong, heavy oil ball finish in the backend as hard as the Thug Unruly does.  The center I bowl league in has a hugh volume in the middle of the lane, so often times balls that hook in the backend go too long, and balls that hook early are spent by the time they get to the pins.  The new Thug Unruly allowed me to move into the flood and still had more than enough left to make a very hard move into the pocket.  I've also thrown it on two different sport patterns.  On the WTBA Athens pattern, there was enough volume in the front of the lane to allow me to play just inside the track area, sending it out to about 5-6 before it came roaring back to the 1-3.  I was impressed at how well it handled the flatter pattern playing that much angle.

Dislikes:  The other sport pattern was in a very high lineage center with lower volume and shorter length.  The shorter pattern yielded a better ball motion when playing pretty straight up the lane between 5-8.  The strong Class 13G coverstock just hooked way too much out there, and when I moved further inside there was too much OB throwing it out to where the straighter angles were playing.  No ball will work every single time, and I am well aware of that.  Just remember to save this ball for longer/heavier oil patterns.

The DV8 Thug Unruly is the beast you need to conquer heavy oil patterns.  This ball hooks a ton and it reads the midlane quick enough so it finds traction in heavy and flat oil patterns.  I drilled mine to give me a strong augular motion on the backend for heavy conditions.  The Thug Unruly is gonna be the gamechanger for this year.

Stop it. A ball that doesn't stop, doesn't care about over under, doesn't care about flood. What else could you ask for? This ball leaves you feeling unstoppable. It's unbelievably continuous, clean and down right sexy. If you're looking for a tank, this ball is it. There isn't anything it won't roll thru. If you're looking for more backend and want to play a little deeper, switch to this ball. It's about 7-8 further left with my feet, and I can leave my eyes in the same spot when using the regular thug. I would most compare it to the feud, but with more swag. Need swag? Be unruly.

As a PBA & DV8 Staff member, I have had the chance to throw the new releases for a few weeks now and all I can say is WOW!
The THUG UNRULY may be the best ball I have thrown in the past year. Be it known, I already love the THUG… but the UNRULY is all of that and MUCH MORE.
For me, I have 4-5 more boards of “room” on a THS, and the forgiveness is incredible. Let me say, this ball makes me look way better that some of the shots I throw. Literally… stand left and throw right. But what stands out for me with the UNRULY, is that it never gives up. No matter how far left I get, the power through the pins is incredible. No weak 10’s for this ball.
If you are looking for that extra room, with forgiveness, and power through the pins… the THUG UNRULY is the rock you need in your bag.

 I got to throw my Thug Unruly for the first time out of the box Drilled 57x4x65 and all I can say is WOW! One of the best balls I have ever thrown it just kept striking! I'm a high rev player and when the ball hit the dry it rolls and when it get's in the oil it still has a continuous motion threw the pins. I shot 1082 crossing pairs with a 300 the first time using it.
If you want a ball for heavy oil and keeps pins low to the deck this is a must have for your arsenal! DV8 made perfection with this ball get yours today!

Bowler Stats:

Left Handed
PAP- 4.5 over X 0
Rev Rate-321
Speed- 18mph
40° Axis Rotation
10° Axis Tilt

Drilling:
Ball #1  45/4/70 p2 hole
Ball #2  50/5/40

Lane Pattern: 43ft 23.75mL THS

     The Thug Unruly is the newest high performancce ball in the DV8 line. This new ball has the Thug core wrapped with the new 13G Reactive Solid cover. At first glance, this ball isn't the "traditional" looking DV8 ball. It doesn't have super loud colors, this one is colorful, eye catching and has a lot of shelf appeal. As for reaction . . . WOW! DV8 stepped up and absolutely crushed it. This ball is strong! What stands out is the ball's ability to get down the lane enough and its strength on the backend.  For me, strong balls like this will read early and quit on the back end. There is no quit here. Ball #1 gives me great mid lane read with strong continuation down lane. Ball #2 gives me about 2ft more length with a stronger, more angular backend reaction. Comparing the Thug Unruly to the Ruckuc Feud, the Unruly was cleaner through the fronts with a much stronger, continuous, breakpoint. The Ruckus Feud was a heavy rolling oil monster, but I had to keep my angles closed down and more in front of me. I could never seem to move in as the lane started to transition. The Unruly allowed me, seemingly, unlimited room to migrate in with absolutely no loss in reaction or carry. This is a great ball for heavier volumes and longer, flatter patterns.
