Likes: I used this ball for the first time in league, I went 236,235,205 and I am a 194 avg bowler. This ball is extremely versatile, and I was able to use it for the entire night with 10 bowlers on the pair. I only had to move 5 boards all night, I was able to play outside and have the ball come back, I could also play straighter and have the ball hold. I have all the Vandals and this ball is perfect completion to the set. This will be my benchmark ball for league night and tournament play. This ball just does it all.

Dislikes: none so far

Was really looking forward to this ball being a huge fan of the Vandal line. I use a pin up and a pin down Vandal and a pin up Smash a lot. I drilled this ball with a simple pin down drill like my pin down Vandal which is my bench mark ball. All I can say is WOW this ball is really good! Love the way this ball reads the midlane without over reacting and it just runs over the pins. Thinking this one is going to be pretty special!

Vandal Destroy is a Low RG Asymmetric ball with Composite Hook Hybrid Finish. I'm right handed with Rev rate of 389, I drilled mine 45x5x30. I love how clean the ball is and how it reads the mids. Shot 300-289-234 on a house shot. I usually change the surface but the new polish the use is Awesome. If you love the first Vandal, this one will WOW you the hitting power this ball stores. Looking for you using in Competition

Here is the newest addition to the Vandal serie, the Vandal Destroy.  The Destroy offers the same core has the other balls in the serie but the cover hybrid compared to solid for the Smash and pearl for the original one.  The Destroy offers the most backend in the serie.

Because I wanted the Destroy to be my bench mark ball, I used my favorite layout.  The pin is at 4” in the ring finger and the mass bias is right of my thumb hole.  It gives me a 60 x 4 x 40.

On the lane I play the Destroy two board right of the Pitbull to 3000 grit and my Vandal Smash.  When the lanes break down and the other balls die out, I use the Destroy on the same line has the other two and it passes the heads much cleaner and recovers a lot more so I’m able to carry the corners.  What amazed me the most about that is the backend I got.  The first night I used it in league I played a perfect game and made a string of 20 strikes

The coverstock is very versatile so you can sand it easely to a 1000 grit or even 500 grit for people with more ball speed.

To conclude, if you wanna have a great bench mark ball and a ton of backend this ball is for you.

DV8 Vandal Destroy
45x4x30

I decided to drill my Vandal Destroy stronger than my original Vandal and Vandal Smash. I really liked the benchmark shape look of the original Vandal and had a lot of success with the stronger Smash. I wanted the new Destroy to rev up a little quicker and allow it to be bigger on the back end. I was very pleased to see the Composite Hook Hybrid cover on this one too, seeing as the Grudge Hybrid is one of my favorites. What I saw out of the Destroy was good length with more midlane and backend than the original Vandal. This ball made a much bigger motion down lane than expected. When I tried this ball on lighter volume pattern, it was just too much. It revved up too quick and was just too much ball for this pattern and worn lane surface. I see this ball being right at home on Medium to medium-heavy patterns.

I have had this ball for about 4 weeks now and I am having some great success with it. I loved the reaction that I had with the Original Vandal, it was one of my favorite balls over the last couple of years. I was looking for the Vandal Destroy to the midland a little sooner but still have a strong backend. That is exactly what I got, I love to use this ball after my Grudge Pearl is starting to jump to much.
Likes: everything about it, great read of mid lane and strong backend

Right Handed
Ball Speed 17-18
Rev Rate 450
Pap 4 5/8 right 1 3/8 up

Ball Specs
Pin 2-3
Top Weight  3 ozs

Layout 70 x 4 3/4 x 45

This ball clears the fronts for me easily and oh boy it is a House Shot Destroyer for sure! I find I can almost play anywhere I want with this ball on a house shot and it just destroys the pins! The deeper I get the more it HOOKS! The hitting power this ball has is extremely remarkable to say the least. I rarely leave ten pins with it. If I don't carry it is normally a solid 9 pin! Super fun to throw and this ball almost never goes threw the breakpoints which is a good thing so I can really just focus on being firm with the follow threw with no worries of the ball not making the corner! I have not had a chance to use it any tougher conditions as of yet! I have noticed Sean Rash has been throwing it a bunch overseas as of late just tearing it up!

This ball is very fun to throw and in my opinion a must have for a bowlers arsenal! A incredible ball for your money!

If you thought the original Vandal was good you are going to be blown away by the new Vandal Destroy! The new Hybrid Vandal goes so smooth through the midlane with a strong backend motion. I drilled mine 75x3.75x65 and I get the most use out of it on medium oil patterns. The Vandal Destroy doesn’t jump off the spot as hard for me and rolls smooth and continuous through the pins. If you’re looking for a great benchmark ball I would strongly suggest this one!

Drilled my Vandal Destroy with my favourite asym layout 50x5x40 (pin up) with a tiny P3 for balance.  I've recently switched back to 15# due to wrist injury and am in the process of rebuilding my arsenal so I was really excited to add this ball to my bag.
My original Vandal was pretty clean through the front for an asym and made a nice strong move on the backend, while the Smash created traction and downlane control for fresher oil.  The Vandal Destroy fits right between the other 2 giving me a very strong read of the midlane sandwiched by average length and an average amount of backend.  I have honestly not seen my ball change direction downlane the way many of the other reviewers have, but this midlane roll has given me enormous amounts of miss room as the lanes go through their first transition.

My best looks with the Destroy are when I'm playing tight to the hold area in medium-medium/heavy oil.  I've whacked a pair of 41' and 45' Challenge patterns using this as my #2 ball behind my Fanatic SS or Pitbull.  The sheened cover gives me enough length to hold line to the pocket, but the quick revving midlane roll gives me some recovery right.  The Vandal Destroy is forgiving by offering sufficient traction and shape to get me to the pocket even when the pattern plays a little touchy.

As far as its place in my bag, the Vandal Destroy is the bridge between my tanks (SS, Pitbull) and my midrange balls (Edge Solid, Diva Style).  If there was a ball in the Brunswick family which it most reminds me of, it would have to be a non polished Brainiac.
In terms of alignment with my feet, the Destroy typically aligns me 2 boards right of my similarly drilled Fanatic SS due to easier length and about 2-3 boards inside of my Edge Solid which is much cleaner between the arrows and breakpoint.  The Destroy will have me a board or two deeper than my Xeno (also drilled similarly) which is much earlier and flatter off the end of the pattern.
I recommend the Vandal Destroy for anybody who wants a safe step down from their high end hook monsters.  The Destroy will be enough ball for everyday use in league, yet will provide the readable shape that is desired by tournament players on tougher conditions.
