The Vandal smash is a great benchmark ball. I have used mine on Heavy oil conditions, medium oil conditions, and even light oil as well. That is the best feature about the Vandal Smash is its versatility.
I drilled my Vandal Smash 4 inches off my axis point, with a 7/8" weight hole 1 inch off of my PAP. This gave it a nice smooth reaction throughout the whole lane. It does clear the heads nicely, the ball likes to rev up in the mid lane, and has a nice archy strong backend into the pocket.
I tested mine on a 39' House shot and I was able to play multiple angles, and different releases and the Vandal Smash still had that strong arch to it. I could get through about 8 or 9 shots then I had to make just small 1-2 board adjustments to get back on line and I was back in the pocket.
So if your looking for that new benchmark ball, this is your winner right here!
