What are you missing? It must be the ELEMENT!!

The Element is the new Dyno-thane's entry into the high-performance bowling ball market. The Element features the all new SOAKERTM coverstock. This unique coverstock, developed by Phil Cardinale, President of Dyno-thane, is designed for outstanding performance in normal league play. The SOAKERTM coverstock absorbs oil and dissipates it completely so each shot hooks as well as the last one and the ball will continue to hook, shot after shot. Easily cleaned with standard ball cleaners.

Recommended Conditions: Sanded, this ball will perform well on heavy to medium oiled lanes. Use during your first game in league or on fresh oil. For medium to drier lanes, a polished surface will get The Element further down the lane while retaining the energy for increased carry and scores.

Weight Block: Dynamic design with flip block technology

 Cover Stock: SOAKERTM resin coverstock

Weights: 12-16 lbs

Finish: 1000-Grit Smooth

 Color: Emerald Green/Orange Pearl

Radius of Gyration: Low @ 2.540 Differential: High @ 0.058

YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE IT TO BELEIVE IT!   Have you ever had problems with your ball getting filled
with oil after a few weeks ...or maybe even a few games?   Well here is the answer from dynothane,
with the new additive in the coverstock every throw hooks and hooks as the previous one....the secret--
the oil evaporates as it sits in the ball return so the next time you get up in the lane its like new again.
The ball is perfect for medium to oily lanes....... i tried it on a drier surface and with a little polish it
worked perfectly!   The coverstock is so  versatile that youi can sand...polish...
super sand....super polish-  whatever suits your game!

GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
drilled my element alabel leverage with the cg kicked toward the plm and the mass bias on the left side of the thumb(i am right handed).
im a long time dyno user and this 1 has to be the strongest fo them all.
used i at abc first.
during team event, had trouble getting to hook in its out of the box finish.
during the minors, had better success. still didnt score real well, just couldnt carry.

got home and used at in my synthetic house(nice head oil and hold in the middle).
the element got through the heads real clean, even after the lanes broke down. ive come to expect this from dynothane.
when it got to the backends, the ball had a hard move towards the pocket(between hard arc and flip).

then, i took it to my wood house. this house has usually more oil than the synthetic 1.
at firts(without carry down). the ball again cleared the heads real well and first hard and hit hard.
then once i hit carry down, i expected to go to my mutant.
but after adjusting, the ball was right ack into the pocket, but still not carrying real well.
the 3rd game it really shined. never missed the pocket the whole game and it carried extremely well(even in carry down). i left a 7 pin the firstframe and a soft 10 on the first pitc in the 10th. shot 269 and a 702 seris(my highest this year).
i should also tell yo, i scuffed the trac area at the bottom of thebow te(tumb quadrent).

this ball is outstanding. hope to keep the good scores.
if anyone is looking for a strong resin ball that even works on some carry down, this is the 1.

good luck and good bowling!!!

I have had the element for around 5 or 6 weeks now and it's time to review it. REAL NICE BALL. It took me a few games to get use to throwing the element.
This ball is real friendly. I mean, just about anyone can throw this ball with proper coverstock adjustment. Im a lefty with good ball rotation and speed of around 16 to 17 mph. The element clears the heads well and gives me a nice smooth move in the mid lane with a pin crushing turn at the pins. This ball wants nothing less than to destroy pins. I have had balls that hit hard, but nothing hits as hard as this. Last night I shot 262-267-204=733.
This on a 35 ft buffed to 40 with oil 8 to 8 with light oil outside. I had a 3 board margin of error. The coverstock of this ball is awsome. It really does what it says it does. It soaks up the oil and than dissipates it so that you don't get a oil track that messes up your shot after afew frames. This is my first Dyno-thane ball and I must say that I am VERY IMPRESSED. I just mat have to try the THING next. OH in case anyone wants to know. All my balls are drilled stacked pin and mass bias left of ring finger and thumb. Good job Dynothane on this ball. Hope your up and coming balls are as great as this one is.

Seems like everyone likes this ball, but me.  I only like it on dry lanes.  Nothing else.  I put the ball back in the bag on medium and oily.  I'm not impressed with the element at all.

Another one of those, "better get one before they are gone".   This ball awsome if it has some oil, preferably a little carrydown.   Drill it anyway you like.

New balls nowadays are getting more and more conditional. NOT the Element, it's real versatile. It works well on a wide range of lane condition.

The Element gives good length, good mid-lane control and a powerful, explosive roll. Probably something to do with the core/cover combination, the power of the roll is phenomenal. It spins the pins round the deck and gives great carry. I love mine to bits!

A fantastic all-rounder! Good work! Dyno-thane.

All of a sudden I find myself with a totally new arsenal after dropping from 16 down to 15lb.  The Element was my last addition.  I had previously drilled and Inferno, Particle Silver Streak, Power Charge and Sonic X.  I wanted one ball set up for control and early roll and picked the Element only because this particular ball was a low top pin in ball.  I drilled it basically what some people call half leverage ( 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 )with an axis hole.  This makes for a pretty condition specific ball, but it is great on flooded heads and clean back ends or sometimes on a wet dry top hat.  I haven't used this drilling much since the particle balls came out, because I can often get the control I want on specific conditions with a particle ball and a more normal drilling.  However I liked what I got on the Element.  In box condition I got a lot of forward roll and good hit playing out in the dry on a top hat.  I moved inside the oil line, and jammed the ball to the hole and got even better reaction.

With a tried and true core featuring a medium rg, and high differential most people are going to like this ball.  My only negative is the price.  There are a lot of really good mid priced resin balls hitting the market these days.  If the Soaker coverstock really holds up better than most resin then it is worth it.  If not, then balls like the SmashR and Hot Rod probably give you more for the money.

It was only a bit less appealing in color than puke.  Some new guy in town said that this was a new, improved coverstock.  My client, he just wanted me to find out just how good this new Element could be, and he wanted a long, extensive investigation.  I set out to investigate if it would it last longer than a mayfly's love life and if it would it hit harder than Mike Tyson when he isn't hungry.  Putting the pin under my ring finger and the CG just right of the thumb, I took two different 15 pounders to lanes that ran the gamut from sport flat to crowned like a count in a bad B movie.  I tried polishing it to shine like the General's stars and dulling it down to a Gomer Pyle dull.  It seemed to work best about 800 to 1000 wetsand.

1.  Length.  It got through the heads and midlanes on medium lanes just a little cleaner than a cat after a full body tongue bath.  On the sandpaper that passed for a dry shot, it seized up too quickly and rolled out.  On the other side, on anything short of the Jonestown flood, it was consistent and predictable.

2.  How did it move?  Like an experienced dame whose just seen a diamond big enough to weigh down her entire ear, this one moved hard but smoothly when it hit the dry.  No flippy overreaction here.  No, this one was precise like the dame's jeweler.  It did work better if rolled rather than spun like a frisbee.  And it laughed in the face of carrydown at 800 to 1000.

3.  How much did it move?  This one is not a Heidi Fleiss super hooker.  Oh, it moves  enough to make it a match for any Voodoo or Hex or even Mojo that might come be thrown along side it.  A medium strong ball.

4.  Did it hit?  Rocky Marciano should have hit so good.  Pins flying everywhere.  Thrown slightly high, tripped the four more often than J. Lo changes boyfriends.  Light led to more tumbling than the University of Iowa's gymnastics team practices.  It carried better with speed.  Net, maybe the best carrying ball I've seen.  And I've seen a lot.

5.  Could it be tamed?  O.K., so you don't get the forgiveness of the pope after a sinner's confession.  But it wasn't wild and remained predictable and controllable so long as I came from the back rather than off the side.

6.  What is the overall report of the investigation?  Probably the best Dyonthane ball to date for the upper tier bowler -- maybe the best medium ball on the market for the upper tier bowler period.  Great hitting, predictable, strong without being overly strong or hooking so much it wants to come back to you.  And one other item.  After 6 months and over 250 games, it's still going strong.

I drilled mine straight over the label with the pin under the ring finger. I was extremely surprised at the length I got from this ball. I thought this one would be a heavy roller, but much to my surprise and happiness it was a perfect blend of both length and roll. This ball clears the front pretty decent and doesn't make that sharp snap into the pocket, more of an even roll and arc to the pocket. Very consistent and readable reaction in the back part of the lane. I hate to sound repititous, but once again, the great Dyno-Thane hitting power. It in incredible. I don't throw a whole lot of ball, and half tens have always been a problem for me, but I must admit since switching to strictly Dyno-Thane balls, I honestly can say that they have been cut in half. You can't imagine what that does to your scores. This ball is consistent with the rest of my arsenal. It covers a different base in your arsenal. it clears the front, as long as there is decent oil, and arc smooth to the pocket. You really can't ask for anything more out of a ball, nice length and readable backend. This will definitely be a ball I pick up on league nights where there is decent head oil, I also believe that this ball will be excellent for sport conditions because of its predictability and it being so readable and smooth. Pick one of these balls up, don't let the price scare you away, it is well worth the money, a great all around ball. Keep up the good work Phil.

I just recently got this ball, have had it for a week now. At first this ball didn't really impress me but now as i put more games on it, it just keeps getting stronger. I drilled this ball up pin above ring finger and kicked out to the side and cg in the palm. Which gives me a nice smooth arc to the pins. I tried it at box finish, it plays real nice on a medium to drier shot, then i sanded it down to 800 and this ball just flat out moves in the oil. The hit it gives you is tremendous. I have about 20 games on it right now. Will update it when i have put more games on it to really get a good feel out of it. But so far what a amazing ball.

I picked-up this used 15lb pin killer from a fellow Ballreviews member, as I’ve wanted to try a ball with the soaker coverstock. Its drilled pin above ring with the CG kicked out about an inch past the ring, no weight hole. This ball is a killer on the house shot I bowl on, and allows me to play my preferred line (20 out to 10). It's clean through the heads, makes a smooth but VERY strong move in the mids, and flips HARD on the backend destroying everything in its path. As long as I can find oil, I can play it. The Element's high hit's just explodes the pocket, sending pins flying everywhere, same goes for light hits too! I like it keeps the pins low, sometimes... It does what it wants to the pins, including making them cry. It's the hardest hitting ball I've ever thrown, next to my Thing of course. It does like to be rolled straight up the back, sort of dislikes too much side roll though. I’ve played it on a variety of different shots and have found it to be very forgiving for me. It will drive too hard sometimes and leave stone 9’s and 8’s. You have to watch it though, otherwise you'll start to leave ringing 10’s if you get sloppy on the release (What ball won’t?). I’ve shot some of my highest games (on league and off) with this green and orange beauty!!!

Some points about it:

Make sure to give it room, this bad boy will HOOK, as long as you give it ‘some’ hand.

As long as you can find oil, you can play it.

It’s very versatile and can play a variety of different shots.

I've found it to give the best reaction when the coverstock is at 800.

I could see this ball being drilled to fit just about anybody’s game.

Soaker coverstock does exactly what it says it does.

WOW!!!
