Vendetta Balck Solid vs Vendetta Maxx
« on: March 28, 2006, 12:54:12 AM »
I am considering purchasing a Vendetta Maxx to compliment my Vendetta Black Solid to handle heavier volumes of oil and carry down.  Do any of you fine folks have experience with comparing these two?
What I'm looking for is whether there will be a significant difference between the two in regards to the amounts of oil they will handle, and if the reaction of the VM will be significantly stronger through carry down vs the VBS.

Thanks to all in advance that take the time to respond.

I personally have not thrown the MAxx,so this conclusion will be from a numertical approach, I'm sure if I'm wrong there will be someone to correct me.

Both balls share the same core with the same values. The difference being in the strength of the covers. Providing both balls are drilled the same with close ending weights the Maxx is going to read earlier, begin to move earlier and cover the carrydown better than the Black solely on the particle coverstock. The Black is 800 sanded, so it is going to have about 2-3 feet more length before turning over, whereas the Maxx is 600, making it read and move a few feet earlier than the Black. Now is 2-3 feet earlier with a continous motion a significant difference to you, I do not know. It willl be noticable, controllable, yes. An advantage yes, it will handle the condition you are looking at.

Tekneek - thanks for the reply.  I do, indeed, intend to drill the VM with the same layout as I have on the VBS, as I love the reaction I'm getting with my VBS on mediums.  I would like for the VM to give me the same type of reaction on heavier oil.  As you stated, I also expect it will, but was hoping to hear from someone that has thrown both of these pieces side by side for comparison...

anyone??

let me see if I can find someone that can "share the experience with you" lol
The Maxx is a will handle more oil, how much oil? I have a Pure Energy, particle soaker, it handles most any heavy oil condition, and better than the Maxx will. Just a perception....

I personally would not ever put a pin more than 4" from my pap on a particle ball,..but that's me...where as I have some V Blks with 5 to 5 1/2 " pins,..jim
