What are the characteristics of a great benchmark ball?  Good shape, good versatility, good control at the breakpoint.  Well, the GB3 core is just that.  The Pearl GB3 is a great compliment to the solid GB3.  I found it about 2-3 boards less hook than the GB3 solid.  It still provides the same ball motion but cleaner through the front which creates the less hook.  You could almost develop a two ball arsenal with the GB3 solid and the Pearl GB3.  When the solid begins to motion too early, transition to the Pearl GB3 and you’ll achieve similar ball motion that you started with.  Again, another great GameBreaker that should be a part of your arsenal.

The GB3 Pearl is a great compliment to the GB3, use the GB3 on fresh oil, then when the lane breaks down and starts hooking sooner, put the Pearl in your hand and you should be able to see the same shape. Getting cleaner through the front part of the lane, with a strong continuous reaction on the backend.  If you love the Gamebreakers, you will love the GB3's even more, they are GB2's on steroids. Great performance and carry a great benchmark ball.

The Game Breaker 3 Pearl is long-time favorite motion of mine in a new package. Going with my lower flare layout option of 50 by 5 by 80 (pin below middle finger), I find one of my favorite balls of all time. Strong enough off the spot to carry when I am forced further and further inside with steeper angles, but predictable enough that I don't feel that I have to do anything crazy with my release. I LOVE this type of ball with this layout. Something about mid-range strength pearl covers with mid-range symmetrical cores does something my eye likes to see. The Game Breaker 3 Pearl is another one of those balls that is hard to get out of my hands. When you need something easy down lane and to not go berserk off the spot, this ball is it.

LANE CONDITION

For a ball after the GB3, how would you compare the GB3 Pearl to the Hammer Flawless if you have any experience with it?
