Pin 4" above midplane with 31/32 x 2 hole on PAP
I was not a big fan of the original One with box surface... I had to tweak and tweak it to get the look I wanted. Once I found the right surface, it rocks. The Big One is a bit different, read on...
The Big One out of box was a striking machine... much more midlane, equal or more backend, and great carry. With 1000 abralon, its a hook monster... definitely for inside the oil line and heavier/longer patterns. With the same surface as the One (1000 abralon with factory finish polish,) it really outhooks the One in the late midlane and backend. I ended up hitting the backflares again with 1000 abralon, and it's shape is very much like the box reaction on most conditions, but the hit seems to be more crisp.
The motion is alot like the One, but much bigger. I had both balls with identical surface yesterday in the center practicing, and struck for about 10 minutes with the Big One playing through the arrows around 18-20 and bumping 7-8 at 40 feet on the synthetic house pattern with light carrydown. I pulled out the One and threw it in the same place and cleanly removed the 3 from between the 1 and 6 for a 5-count washout. This is typical of what I see in most centers... 7-8 more boards of big-end hook than the original One.
I'll be putting holes in another very soon and will post a second review after I get 30-40 games on it.
