Upcoming EBI 2018 releases
« on: January 06, 2018, 02:04:40 PM »
Verdict Pearl already announced

January 2, 2018 approved list updated:

C300 Lit Pearl
Ebonite GB3
Track Alias
Track Ultra Heat

Hammer Rip'd Solid
Hammer Rip'd (approved in December)

I'm assuming both the Rip'd releases are overseas

The original Lit is an excellent ball, need head oil, but it allows me to get in deeper than I normally would and still have a ball that is very continuous. Have no problem getting back to the pocket. Not sold on the Lit pearl that I saw the other day. The Verdict pearl is another story, a very good follow up to the original. The new Alias is a great ball. Very versatile, with drilling combo's that are going to create lots of discussion. The GB3 was very strong, plenty of hook if that is what you are looking for. save your money, release dates are just around the corner.

Yeah. The Paradox Black is really, really good. Haven't seen many throwing the Lit but the original Verdict was nice too. EBI is back. Getting hard to convince myself that I don't need anything new...

I threw the Paradox and the Lit side-by-side at the demo day. They're actually pretty close to each other. The Lit was just a little earlier and covered a few more boards, but still not a lot of difference.

Getting both was more impulse than need. I've just drilled them up for different hook shapes. Both are excellent pieces.

Interesting. Doesn't surprise me that the Columbia 300 option is getting overlooked, they're one of the most invisible brands, but I may have to get a Lit if/when it goes on clearance here if it's that good. Because the Paradox Black is amazing.

Yeah the alias is definitely going to turn some heads.  I can't wait to throw it.

I'm going to keep my eye on these. Have a Lit on the way and probably going to pick up a Phenom Pearl in the near future.
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta
Testing: MVP
Interests: Black Widow, Proof Solid, Idol Pearl

For ME, the phenom pearl was to over/under, no matter what surface I tried.
Got my hands on a "Affinity" which was supposed to be same cover, etc
Its not the same as far as my personal observations, this ball does not over/under for me
It has clean cover up front, easy length and a continuous, predictable motion
I would pass on the Phenom pearl and get the Affinity

Yes the Affinity and the Phenom Pearl share the same cover but have different cores. The Affinity is absolutely an amazing ball. If I was to pick between the 2 I would also go with the Affinity.

GB3 and the 12.7 cover looks like a great replacement as all of my GB2s are all going a little long these days.

I'm not sold on it yet, the cover is potentially a little stronger than I was hoping for. But I'll reserve judgement until I see and hear more.

The Ultra Heat is what I've been waiting for the most

So far, I like the GB3. Its a bit different than my GB2, little more length, the continuation seems to be a bit more. A fresh GB2 surface at 2000 vs the GB3 at fresh 2000, the GB2 is a little earlier from what I saw and the GB3 had a more downlane. Its early though, Ive only had a few chances for practice with it

Track Alias and Ebonite GB3 info is on the websites
The Ultra Heat and the Hammer Ripd are a 2-1-18 information release date
Got to throw the GB3 today, impressive I thought.
