For the money the Pain and Doom combination is about as good as you are going to get. It covers a lot of lane conditions. I like my No Mercy, Black Widow, and Doom combination, but I can't say anything negative about the Pain.

Nah, Pain and Doom will do you just fine.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bell Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

the pain doom combo is great... but i think the black widow, if you do not have one should be in your hands as well... unmatched versatility and the best ball on the market

the pain will be for fresher conditions with higher volumes of oil, the doom will be for when they start breaking down or for lighter to medium oil conditions

the pain will rev up earlier and the doom will go several feet longer before it starts to make its move due to the pearl cover

i believe if ur just looking to get two balls the pain/doom will work out... if you can squirt in a third black widow hands down

and if your lookin for something different than the doom, watch out for the Toxic my review is up and i will be adding to it as i throw it more
