LANE CONDITION

Length: 39-40

Volume: Medium to Heavy

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

Likes:  I went with Dual Layout 45x5 1/2x50 for when the lanes breakdown.  This ball gets through fronts with ease and when it hits the back end.  The ball hits like a tank!  I'm very pleased with the reaction and can't wait when I bowl on tougher flatter patterns.

Dislikes:  None

COMMENTS

The Black Widow is back with a vengeance with the new Assassin. I am one of the few that does not match up well with this core, but with the cover/combo (solid cover) I really like what I see in this ball. This ball for me is the closet to the ORIGINAL Black Widow. The Jet Black Taboo for me was too over/under and when I changed the surface, it was too smooth. The Assassin cover/core combo fits perfectly for me on what I am looking for in my arsenal. It is about 4 boards stronger overall than the Jet Black Taboo, with the same clean motion through the front part of the lane & a strong backend finish that does not quit.  I can move in with the shot and the ball is not squirty and cuts through the carrydown without a problem. This is a very versatile ball, just like the original Black Widow.

Dislikes: When using it on the drier patterns, it still got through the front part of the lane with ease, but due to my rev rate, it was burning up a little bit. Therefore, I would recommend it for the medium to medium heavier patterns.

I think this ball will be a must have ball for those that had the original Black Widow or those that missed out on the original. This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck! Very versatile ball…

SHE IS BACK!!!

OH yes she is... and wow does she have one HECK of a bite.... this ball is unbelievable.. I was a HUGE fan of the Original and the Pearl and the Assassin is by far my favorite.. So clean in the fronts and huge hook in the back ends.. Carry is the name of the game when it comes to bowling and this widow is made just for that. She is hard hitting and easy to replicate shots with. Every Hammerhead needs this ball in all their bags. GO NOW !

This ball is more then welcomed in any bowlers bag. The legend returns with even better ball motion

Length: medium to long

Volume: medium

This ball is super clean through the front part of the lane with a nice hard and sharp angle to the pocket. Ball his a very strong skid flip motion to compete with other companies with this ball motion. Even pin down the ball gets to the spot and completes the turn hard into the pocket. There again dealing with this type of motion solid 9 and 8 pins are going to be left standing. Once again that's doable

Likes: The ball stores a large amount of energy that lets it explode off the end of the pattern. That's with any oil pattern

Dislikes: none

COMMENTS
Likes: This was the first Hammer ball I drilled.   It was longer than I expected, but was still just as strong as I hoped.  It definitely fits in the widow line.   This ball for me was long and strong, but definitely has become a favorite in my bag.  Its a safe, strong ball that gives me a good read.

Dislikes: Heavy oil patterns, probably best to ball up when you get a heavy oil pattern due to the length of the ball.
